So what the hell happens?!

So I see a book on Wattpad. It's all professional, with a sexy cover and over one million reads, votes and comments. So I'm like, let me try this.

Worst mistake of my life...

Because it's fucking amazing. It's so fucking good, and I'm so into it. Often, I find myself under the bed sheets reading, with only the blinding light of my iPad to see. It's literally 2am, and my eyelids feel like they've got fucking weights on them, but I repel any thoughts of sleep: I've got to finish this! I've got to see if Ella and Toni fall in love! I have to know if her brother will let them be together! I MUST KNOW.

But, it just stops at the worst possible cliffhanger: Ella's brother has found her with Toni! Shit, shit, shit! What the hell happens next omfg please tell me there's more....!

But no, my iPad does that stupid shaky thing and it says 'to be continued', so as disappointed as I am, maybe they'll update soon. Maybe I caught up to the last chapter after a recent update! Maybe, just maybe, the next chapters will come.

Checking the comments, I then see:

"Update soon!"

"Omg when will you finish this story?!"

I'm here judging these idiots for annoying the author, then I see the last time she updated.

9 MONTHS AGO.

FUCKING NINE MONTHS AGO.

So you mean to tell me that you've lured me into reading your book, only to JUST STOP? AT THE MOST CRUCIAL PART? OMG at least excuse yourself saying you'll be busy.

BUT NINE WHOLE FUCKING
MONTHS?

Tell me, have you now given birth to your stupid child, because maybe then you can come back and finish your stupid story?!

The nicest thing you can do is TELL US WHERE ON EARTH YOU ARE?! Maybe it'll make sense if you live on a remote island now, with no wifi, so that can explain why you haven't updated.

Furthermore, you made me think it was a good idea to sacrifice my precious sleep. You led me on to think that I'd finally sleep satisfied, dreaming of a love like the perfect one you painted between Toni and Ella.

BUT NO. The only difference between you and a weenus is that you've got nerve, leaving us hanging on a cliff. Bitch.

On the same note, you're reading a good book and you're quite engrossed in it. But life happens, so you're busy and you don't have time to read. Then, when you've got a little time, you think to yourself- 'let me check it out again! It was so good!'

Opening your wattpad library, the book cover is grey. It's fucking GREY. And in capital letters, you know what it says? 'REMOVED'.

Why would you do that? Why? No goodbyes, no explanation...(sounds rather like a break-up).

Why would you delete a book that you had so many fans to?

Okay, I admit, I have deleted some of my books. But it's never when I have at least one fan, because even though there aren't many reads, I know that someone out there loves my story and will loyally come back for me. But you...your reads were in red for heaven's sake!

It breaks the readers' heart, it really does. But thing is, you'll suffer more -- people will be a bit more hesitant to read your other books because you'll probably just bloody delete it because 'I just don't feel like it'!

What I mean is that, if you're an amazing author with so many readers and fans, it's nice to let them know of you'll be away for a while (please not mine months) or that you wont be continuing with the book. That way, we can psychologically prepare ourselves to face the sad fact that we may never know the fate of Toni and Ella.
