I know scientists say that a child can only start to store memories when they are three years old, but my earliest memory takes place when I was a mere nearly two year old.

So basically, I remember because of how painful it was.

My older sister was five at the time, and we were going to go out somewhere. So, having already sort of learned how to walk, I went out to the car. My older sister opened the car door and got in, then she closed the door. And trying to stop her, I reached out.

She smashed my right index finger in between the door and the door frame.

It was literally flattened out like a pancake. And I remember it was the most painful thing I have ever lived.

I remember my mum running outside when she heard me crying. She opened the door and picked me up in her arms, running inside for an ice pack.

My dad yelled at my sister for it.

I also vaguely remember my mum holding me in her arms and she walked over to the dresser to grab something, I remember seeing my reflection.

And yeah, that's where my memory of that day ends.

Weird, I know.
