way back then, the aztecs used to play a sport very similar to modern day football (soccer). but this was more difficult because you had to get the ball through a tiny ass hoop like five feet above your head. and you couldnt use your hands. this game was said to have been invented by the gods and the losing team would be sacrificed to honor them. the aztec gods often demanded blood because they themselves did not have blood and could not bleed.
