T w e n t y - f o u r

My eyes flutter open, my body immediately shaking with the cold air that surrounds me. I pull the blanket tighter around my body, my eyes blinking repeatedly as I search for Harry. I turn my head and a frown makes its way onto my face when I see he isn't there. I sit up, confusion and worry swimming around in my head.

I hear some noise coming from somewhere in my apartment. I turn my head slowly, since I am a still sleepy, and see Harry in the kitchen. I let out a relieved sigh, a smile forming on my face when I see he is cooking something for breakfast.

As I climb out of my bed, I hear a beautiful, quiet humming coming out of Harry's mouth. I think he's singing also but I can't quite make out the lyrics.

"Good morning." I croak out, rubbing my eyes as I sit down at the breakfast bar.

"Oh fuck!" Harry squeals, holding his hand up to his heart. "Jesus, Dais, you almost gave me a heart attack." He laughs, taking deep breaths. I laugh, holding my hand up towards him.

"I'm so sorry." I say while laughing, the booming sound echoing throughout my apartment.

"It's okay." He chuckles, sending me a smile. "And good morning by the way. You look adorable when you just wake up." He says, making me blush furiously. "Beautiful as always."

I bet my hair is all over the place and I bet there are bags under my eyes. I honestly don't think I look the slightest bit beautiful right now but seeing Harry look at me like that makes my heart swell and my cheeks turn redder.

"Thanks." I mutter, looking down with a shy smile on my face.

When I look back up, I see a plate of pancakes sliding over in front of me. My mouth forms a smile as I look up at Harry, seeing him already smiling at me.

"Thank you." I say, feeling incredibly special right now.

"Not a problem, Dais." He says, grabbing his own plate of pancakes and sitting besides me. "Oh, um...I am not really familiar with your place yet, and I don't know what you like on your pancakes." He says slowly, scratching the back of his head with his hand. I look at him with awe and give him a reassuring smile.

"It's okay." I say. "And I love putting Nutella and bananas. What do you like?" I ask, standing up to grab the Nutella from the cupboard.

"Organic guacamole- I'm joking." He says laughing, putting his hand up. I smile as I watch his face all lit up. You could literally see it glowing with happiness. "I like yogurt and berries- but if you don't have them then I would love to try out your favourite toppings." He says, stuttering slightly. I look at with with awe, finding it adorable how he can swtich from being all confident to shy in seconds.

"Is vanilla yogurt good?" I ask, smiling at him with reassurance.

"My favourite." He says. I open the fridge and take out the yogurt, also pulling out strawberries and blueberries.

"Is this alright?" I ask as I slide the items onto the counter.

"It's perfect, thank you." He smiles at me.

"No problem." I smile back at him.

I take out some utensils before sitting back down besides Harry, the both of us putting the toppings on our pancakes.

"How are you?" I ask him, looking sideways to see his facial expressions.

"I'm good." He smiles at me.

"And with your parents?" I ask, remembering how they don't get along. Harry frowns and I immediately start to regret bringing the topic up. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." I say, feeling stupid.
