Shawn POV
The car atmosphere became silent after Bey spoked. She hadn't look my way for about 5 minutes, so I knew she was upset. For about 4 minutes her head had been towards the window in the car. I knew what I asked was a little below the waist but it had been crossing my mind. As I headed towards my usual pizza spot in Brooklyn I looked over at her and saw he moved her hands towards her face. It took me by surprise that she might be crying.
I watched the road a little bit as I saw her hands move below her eyes. I knew she had feelings for me but to see her cry was a bit beyond feelings. As I pulled up to the pizza place and pushed the car stick in park. I heard soft sniffes. That was my confirmation that I made her cry.
I took the keys out the car door as I pulled my jacket from the back seat. She straightened up a bit after she raised her head and looked out the wind shield.
"I'll get your door." I said placing one foot outside, giving her one more glance. I closed the door as I saw her fumbling with her purse and decline a cell phone.
As I came around her door and openend, she stepped outside the door with her head down. Either she felt bad about what I said or she didn't want me to see her crying. As I reached around her to close her door I saw she was trying to escape me but I placed my hand on her stomach stopping her in her tracks.
"What happen?" I said trying catch a glimpse at her face.
"Nothing I'm fine." She said in a low voice as she fixed her eyes on her feet.
"You crying?... & dont lie."
Before she answered me she turned her head to the side which caused me to catch a glance at her side eye. I just starred at her for a minute astonished. Never had I ever seen a girl cry for me or over me besides my mother. I pulled her by the waist directly infront of me as she kept her face turned away from me.
"Bey if what I said hurt your feelings I'm sorry. It probably came out at the wrong time."
"Why would you even think like that? It was a stupid and selfish question." She said becoming annoyed. I never saw her angry she was always humble and calm. Seeing her lips pout was the closest thing I've seen to mad and that might be it.
"I'm sorry Bey. I said what I said out of my selfish & insecurities and I'm sorry." I said as she exposed her red glarely eyes.
Everything about her eyes told her mood and her pain. It was then that I knew I had hurt her. We starred at eachother for about a minute as she placed he head in my chest.
It was like our souls mated with eachother because we became emotionally out of no where for eachother. Moving her head up I planted a kiss on her lips.
I pecked her lips about 5 times as our lips moved in motion. It became more serious as I placed my hands on her ass moving her closer as she gripped the back of my shirt. I bit down on her bottom lip as my tongue slipped in as the fight begin in our mouth. We stayed like this for about 5 minutes until her cellphone rang.
She let out an annoyed grunted as she pressed the end button on her cellphone keyboard. Not mentioning anything I placed my jacket around her, gripping her by the waist as we walked into the pizza place.
As we entered into the pizza place I notice how empty it was. I checked my watch and realize it was already after 9. I went up to Shanice, the cashier who grew up with me and placed the order for a 10 slice pizza with pepperoni and sausage with an order of hot and bbq wings and a 24oz pepsi soda.
After paying the bill I guided Beyonce to the chair near the window as we sat side by side.
"Is this the same pizza place you bought the pizza from the other night?" She asked as she looked around.
"Yea it used to be a pizza van before they got a place. I used to come over here alot especially after studio sessions and parties."
"You bought any girls here before?" She said with a smirk.
"I bought them pizza but never inside."
"Why? It sames like a nice social enivornment tho'."
Her asking me that question assured me exactly what I asked her earlier. She was the only girl that ever came out in here with me.
"Because after a few minutes of sexing they took a few hundreds and asked for something to eat."
"Why did you let them do it anyways?"
"It was their life and they either complained about period shit or some kinda of pain so I knew it was a way of saying no."
She started starring at me again.
"Your a really special man Jay & I promise you will see it in the near future."
"I already see it, I'm here with you right." I said as she leaned in to kiss my lips gripping my neck.
"Here's your order baby Shawn." Shanice said as she smiled. "Good evening I'm Jay's adopted cousin." She said smiling at Bey extending her hand.
"Hello I'm Beyonce!"
"Oh We Know Who You Are. You gave black girls something to be proud about." Shanice said with a smile on her face.
"Thank You."
"Well Nicey, thanks we gonna take it. See you later and tell Mama Joyce I'mma see her around."
"Okay Jay. Ms. Beyonce; come again."
I gather the pizza in my hand as Bey held the soda in her hand.
"So where are going to eat?"
"You'll see." I said as she got in the car.
I felt bad for what I said to Bey because she never once made me feel that way but my insecurities got the best of me. My intentions were to eat pizza talk and then head back to take her to the hotel but my feels were running high and I wanted to be her.
We pulled up to the park that I used to play on, it was also where I always wanted to take my then girlfriends to relax and talk but none were interested. It was dark outside but the pole lights that shined over the park helped out abit. I parked the car as close as possible near a little bench were we could sit.
"Is this your childhood park?"
"Yea. I used to have rap battles here and I take my nieces and nephew every once in a while."
"Can we go outside?" She asked with a smile on her face.
"Yea. I didn't think you would wanna be outside at night in a place like this."
"I trust you alot that you won't let nothing happen to me so lets go."
Grabbing the pizza from the back seat and the soda we walked over to the bench with her arms wrapped around mines.
"It sames so peaceful out here tho'. For a place like Brooklyn it doesn't same threating at all."
"Its not threating on children's territories. Thats always been a good thing about where I came from. We protect the youths them."
"Why do the gangsta and thugs who always are labelled as bad and no good always do more than the ones who are so up there?"
"Its because they don't see what we see growing up in these streets. They only give what they think is necessary but in Brooklyn once food is on your table and you feel safe thats all that matters."
"You ever regret growing up the way you did?"
"Not really. I think I am a prime example of what the streets can do. I was a smart boy in school always shy but I liked winning. The street taught me alot tho'. If I had stayed in school and completed I probably would've been working in an office or something and I can't do it. I always wanted that fast unpredictable life. What about you. Did you regret the way you grew up?"
"A little bit. I am like a little preepy black girl who didn't no about struggle or the "hood life" unless I watched movies. I always was a vurnerable piece of meat to persons. It's easy to say and do whatever and I don't say anything. Its because I never grew up with my mother being so aggressive or having to defend myself. My mama would prolly be that way once every 3 months."
We sat there talking about everything as Beyonce keep closed to my arms. It was until we realized how long we were out there that we decided to leave. When we got in the car it was already after 11pm.
"Shoots Bey. I promised to have you in by 10 its already passed 11."
"And I am not ready to go home."
"What about your parents?"
"What about them?"
"Come on Bey. If you get home late and they catch you then all hell break lose."
"They will have to accept my excuse or except the truth it doesn't really matter. My baby sister has a boyfriend who can come over, Kelly and Michelle are only a year older than I and they got man coming to their hotel rooms. I am doing nothing wrong."
"Okay. So what you wanna do?"
"Since were in Brooklyn-"
"Nope no Marcy's Project."
"So where do you suggest or you tired of me already?"
"Not all. We can do this all night every night."
"Okay so whats your plan?"
"You'll have to wait and see." I said smirking as I gripped her hands.
A nervous feeling came over me as the thought of taking her to my penthouse came across my mind. It wasn't that much of an expensive penthouse like the ones in TriBeca but it was in a good area and very quiet. Heading out of Brooklyn we talked while listening to the radio from time to time. By the time we reached to my area it was after 12.
Beyonce was like a drug to me. I never got tired or sleeping being around her. It didn't take her long to realize where she was as we pulled up into the parking lot of my penthouse complex.
I hoped out the car collecting the box of leftover pizzas and went around to open Beyonce's door.
"Don't get nervous. I won't do anything to you."
"I'm chilled as long as I'm safe."
We walked towards the elevator as it took us up on the third floor. To break the nervousness I knew she had I pulled her closer to me as I planted kisses on her neck.
We finally made it to my floor and headed for my door. As I opened the door letting Beyonce in I watched as she gazed around in awe.
