ben walked down the long hallway of his home heading towards the meeting room. sleeves rolled up just a little to show a small portion of his tattoos. he walked inside the wide area gracefully like there was a surprise waiting for him. men sat in chairs while some stood on the sides waiting for his appearance.
"shall we get this meeting started?" he asked everyone looking directly into their eyes as he stood beside a woman holding sword in her hand.
"i think we all know why we're here, correct? i was informed that there is someone playing two games at once i might say. we only know it's one person right now but we unsure if it's any one of you" he scanned his eyes around the room placing his on the subject multiple times. the man who he was talking about was getting nervous. sweat was forming in his forehead and his hands were getting clammy as ben continued to talk.
"usually i hate being interrupted when i'm in the middle of something but i couldn't let this continue any longer. now if i were you i would stand up and show my way out before i make it to the count of three or else i'm going to expose you not in a good way"
the man in the room stayed seated as he was to nervous to even move. "one.."
"two..."
"three.... fine be that way. y/n"
she was quick to know what he wanted her to do. she stood up from her chair hoping onto the table and running across it. taking her sword out of the case and swinging it at the mole getting a clean cut of his head. she got off the table leaving out of the room.
"i only value a few things in this business. money, trust, respect, loyalty, and my crew" ben spoke watching the scene in front of him.
"jesus" one member muttered as blood sprayed from his body. "now," ben started talking. "if any of you sons of bitches was apart of his little game i will say something BECAUSE NOW WILL BE THE FUCKING TIME OR I WILL COLLECT YOUR FUCKING HEAD!" he yelled looking around at everyone tense silent state. "didn't think so" he muttered. "jared clean this is up" ben told the guy in the corner as he left. jared waited for him to leave as he looked at the blood mess.
"damn!" he jerked his body around unhappy that he had to do it.
ben walked back to his bed room expecting to see y/n in there cleaning her sword but he didn't. he knew y/n wouldn't go anywhere else in the house other than their bedroom and the conference room so he was confused on why she wasn't there. y/n was like a sidekick to ben—joker and harley as an example. y/n was once a retired assassin but got back on the job once she met ben at a night club. it wasn't like they were unknown to each other. they actually heard of one another—contacts in each other's books but they never actually worked together until about a year ago.
he pressed the button on his telephone that was sitting in the table and walked around the room with his hands in his pocket. the voice of his assistant come through the speaker.
"where is y/n?" he asked the woman on the other line. "she is gone sir"
ben stopped his pacing and looked down at the machine. "for why is she out of your presence?"
"she said she had to run some errands sir. she didn't say what for" she answered waiting for ben to say something or ask her something else. "track her for me and tell me where she is"
the relationship was unstable, why? because y/n was married. keyword was. now it just feels like she has a normal ring on her finger while her husband just brought home random woman. he even did it while she was still in the house so she ended things mentally but never took the time to file a divorce. ben had plans on what to do to her quote on quote husband of hers but she had earlier plans.
standing on top of a building the cold air blew again her leather suit maker her cold. but she ignored it as she watch her husband have sex with another woman in the apartment building window across from her.
the sounds of rocks crushing against each other got her out of her hatred stare. she took out her knife and pointed it at the person behind her. ben stood there not fazed that she could've killed him. grabbing her wrist softly and placing it down by her side. he held her gently from behind as he watched her facial expressions.
"what are you doing out here?" he rubbed her sides. "nothing" she mumbled shaking her head. "don't lie to me" he said into her neck. he figured out on why she would be gone in the middle of the day. he just wanted her to be honest with him. that is what he valued—trust. he looked in her direction seeing what she was here for. he watched the man, who was now laying in the bed with woman.
"why do you waste your time on him?" he asked her. she shrugged her shoulders. "you torture yourself by doing this. bringing yourself down and being unhappy around me shows my lack in work between us" he walked around her getting in front of her view.
"you know i love you sweets, so why waste your time with that asshole when you have me?"
"you never said it" she looked him. "never said what?" he tested her wanting to hear it from her. "i love you" she muttered. ben tilted his head at her. pulling the gun from behind him and keeping it behind his back. he jerked his body making a grunting noise and put his hand over his heart pretending he was shot. he then showed his gun catching y/n off guard. he trailed it from under his eye and down his cheek indicating a tear leaving from it as he pouted his lip.
"ouch. i've been shot" he put his arm behind him and shot towards the apartment building getting a headshot of the man. they held eye contact as they both heard the window break into pieces and screams of the woman leaking and echoing out onto the streets. "with offense," ben finished saying his sentence. he put his gun in back his pocket.
"you should know by now i show my feeling more than i say them sweets. how would you know? because it happens almost every night. i make sure to keep the lamp on so i could look at you, and i make sure i keep the window open so everyone can hear the response of me loving you," he smirked at her letting out a laugh.
y/n felt goosebumps rise against her skin. not from the cold air blowing but from his words. she didn't know what made ben so attractive. his looks were a bonus but the way he spoke to her triggered the way she felt towards him and not in a bad way either. the talked with a vibe—intriguing and with a sexy vibe to it. he was also honest with her and that what she loved him for. ben treated y/n like she was royalty—like she was cleopatra. he never did anything to disrespect her or did anything that made her seem uncomfortable. he could've said i love you a thousand times already but he just didn't.
"i make sure you're not hurt," he walked closer to her. "i don't force you to do things you don't like. you're treasure to me," he gripped her waist and pulled her to him. "so i think i'm doing a amazing job at loving you. nod yes if i'm correct and if i'm wrong..." he trailed off. knowing he was right she slowly nodded her head. "now, i would like to feel your pretty lips on top of mine if you don't mind, love"
to many others in the world, they would say that this kind of love should
never exist and that it was bad. but to them it felt like regular love but only customized for them.
