Y/n enjoyed the recording session they had today. She saw funny sides come out surprisingly in Brian. After they finished they left but Roger and Y/n stayed behind a little while longer.
"Have any hobbies?" Roger asks as y/n walks around the studio.
"[your favorite hobby] sometimes when I have the chance to"
"What are you doing those other times?" Roger walks up to her as she plays with one of the drumsticks.
"Reading, sometimes when I have the chance to" she smiles.
"Then What are you doing during those other times" Roger laughs.
"Nothing, sometimes-"
"Oh don't say it" Roger laughs out making her laugh also.
"Wanna play?" He offers as he sits down in his seat grabbing the other drumstick.
"No thanks. When I'm around things like this, I think I'm going to break them"
Roger chuckles.
"You're not going to be breaking these. I'll me handling them"
She agrees and looks around for a chair. "There aren't any other chairs?" She asks. He shakes his head no.
"Sit on my lap" he shrugs. She gives him a look. "Well, how am I supposed teach you to play them if you're beside me?" He does a side smile.
"Very smooth" she walks over to him hesitant to sit down. She didn't relax her body because she didn't want to put all of her weight on him.
"Relax. I don't bite" he pulls her body towards his as she relaxes. He gives her the drumsticks and then put his hands on top of hers.
"Any requests?" He ask as he lays his head on her shoulder looking and smiling at her. He watched as she smiled nervously and a small laugh come out.
"Uhh-hehe..uhm maybe [favorite Queen song]" She looks over her shoulder at him then turns back.
He hands grips hers at a soft grip, rubbing his thumbs of the top of them before starting the song. He would play a part and she will repeat it to see if she did it right. He taught her how to spin the stick between her fingers, it flew out of her hand a few times but it was a great laugh to share.
"Nailed it" y/n says as she gets up. "Yeah 'you' nailed" he replies sarcastically as a joke.
"Well, I have to get home now" she tells him as she heads to the door.
"Do you want me-"
"To drive me home?" She finishes his sentence. They share a look before she nods her head towards the door.
The drive was nice and calming. He would glance her at some point to take in the beauty she had. He didn't want this drive to end cause he thought he would never see her again. he wanted her to stay with him.
He stopped in front of the house that she told him that was hers.
"Goodnight, I had fun today and thank you for giving me a drive" she looks at him.
"You're welcome" he replies at he watches her get out of the car. "Come back tomorrow?" He asks leaning over to look out the window at her as she stood in the drive way.
"Why not" she agrees as a yes.
Day 2
Y/n did go back to the studio like she said she would but she wonder if it was okay with the other band members. she didn't want to disturb them.
"Wow, you're back" John says with a smile as she stood at the door.
"Yeah—yeah! Roger invited me to come back and I agreed—obviously! I mean if I didn't agree. I wouldn't be here, but if I'm disturbing I can go" her voice got smaller near the end of her sentence as she looks down at the ground at her shoes.
John Let's out a laugh and opens the door wider for her to come in.
"He's in the back, you can wait for him to come out and hang out with the cool kids while doing so, or you can welcome yourself" John says pointing to where Roger was and going back over to his bass playing with some of the strings.
Y/n went where John pointed and found Roger sitting at a table with a newspaper in front of him. He notices her presence and instantly smiles.
"Let's go for ice cream" he says almost immediately. He put the newspaper down and walks over to her.
"Ok. Seems like you're in the mood for some today" she laughs.
They hung out taking walks on the beach and of course Roger got his ice cream. They sat in front of the waves but not too close to get wet and watched the sunset.
"Hey, let me take you-"
"Out on a date?"
Roger looks at her. "Yeah, tomorrow night"
Day 3
Y/n looked at herself multiple times in the mirror as she waited for Roger to show up making sure she didn't want to change her shoes, or earrings for the hundredth time. Roger didn't say a specific time— well he didn't say a time at all so she got dressed at the usual time which was 7 o'clock.
A doorbell rang throughout the house and she slowly walked over to the door not trying to seem like she was in a rush to open it.
Behind the door revealed a smiley Roger holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Aww" she grabs them out of his hands. "[your favorite flower]. These are my favorite" she smelled them.
"Bonus. They reminded me of you. Beautiful, happiness, one of a kind, and full of love"
Roger meant what he said. He thought y/n was absolutely stunning. She gave him happiness and thought she was one of a kind, plus he could feel the love radiate off of her and onto him.
"Shall we?" He bends his arm so he could interlock hers with his. She does so happily and closes the door behind her.
Their night consisted of laughter, flirting, and feelings that were growing between them.
"I'm glad you accepted this date" Roger says looks up from his plate at her.
"And why is that?" She questions.
"Because I was hoping you wouldn't be a one time thing"
Roger was never good with his words. But she took a guessing thought of what he was trying to say.
"One time thing?" She raises her eyebrows.
"Haha. I wanted to see you more is what I'm trying to say here"
He became shy when he said that and that made y/n smile.
"I knew what you were trying to say" she smiles while taking a sip from her drink.
Roger sighs with a smile appearing on his face.
"Alright n/n, you sneaky girl"
"I'm not sneaky! I just like playing with you sometimes. Check please!" She hold her hand up to signal the waiter.
Roger drives her back home and they stand in front of her door.
"Thank you for tonight. I had fun, once again" she plays with the collar of his suit.
"Me too, I really hope to do it again some time." He replies. There was a comfortable silence between them. Not wanting to leave the other person just yet.
"You don't mind-"
"You kiss me?"
Without hesitation Roger put his hand on the back of her neck and leans in to give her a deep kiss. It was slow and long lasting and neither of them wanted to pull away but it had to end at some point.
Y/n goes inside after saying goodnight Roger goes down the small set of steps smiling like he had his first kiss on a playground.
They continued the thing they had as neither of them wanted to stay from each other and eventually go married and had kids.
And It all started at the beach when a yellow car pulled up and a share of a drink to a drum sessions, ice cream and sunsets, and a first date.
Summer of '72 will be a long lasting memory for the both of them.
