Upon arriving at the palace, Sunny exited her car and was met by her bodyguards and personal assistant. They escorted her into the palace building.
"Good morning, Your Majesty," the doorman bowed.
"Good morning," Sunny replied with a smile.
She then entered the palace building and headed towards Tengku Hassanal's office. Before entering his office, Sunny thanked her escorts and told them to leave.
She then knocked on the door thrice before entering the office.
"Hi," Tengku Hassanal smiled.
"Hey," Sunny smiled back.
"I'm sorry for taking your time," Tengku Hassanal apologized before standing up.
"You're not," Sunny chuckled, walking towards him.
"I just have really important things to tell you, ask you, and literally discuss with you because this is a life-changing decision," he told her while holding her hands.
"Honey, you're the leader of the family. And you're wise. I know you will make the right decision for our family," Sunny said, looking at him.
"This is for your own happiness, too, honey," he said.
Sunny looked at him and nodded.
"Alright. Let's sit down and talk," Sunny pulled him to the couch, and they sat.
"Now, tell me what this is all about," Sunny asked him.
"I don't know how to tell you this," Tengku Hassanal started.
Sunny chuckled, "You proposed to me so casually. That must be one of the hardest things to do, but you did it easily."
Tengku Hassanal looked at her and exhaled, "I want to leave the royal family."
Sunny looked at him with a surprised look.
"I want you to be happy. I know you're really tied to all these rules. You can't do the things you love anymore. You love performing, and I know how much you're upset that you can't do those anymore. I want to make you happy, Sunny."
"Honey..." Sunny muttered.
"I've talked to dad and mom. They agreed with this decision and want me to discuss it with you, too. I just want the best for both of us," Tengku Hassanal said.
Sunny touched his cheeks, "You're going too far... Why did we come here? What's all this about? I'm telling you, I want nothing more than for us to be happy. And I am happy right now. I don't care if I can perform or not."
Tengku Hassanal shook his head, "That is your passion. That is your career, and you love doing that. What can you do if you're tied to all these protocols?"
Sunny shook her head, "The only thing that makes me happy right now is for you to be happy. And we are happy here. I am happy with what we are doing right now. Royal family, it's amazing. My passion, I can find something else, okay?"
"I love horse riding, I love going to events with you, I love to serve the people. I love meeting people and spending money on them. I love doing this with you."
"Never in our relationship, our marriage, have I ever regretted being married or tied with you. Because I'm not tied to these protocols forcefully. I do this because I love you. I love our children, and I care for all of you."
"Performing and being an artist, that is not what meant for me. God leads me to this path, and I am grateful for what we have."
Sunny held his hands, "Please don't think it that way that I am sad I can't perform anymore. I just want to be with you and want you to be happy."
"This is your path. You cannot change it. We're not Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. This is your bloodline. This is your job. Your responsibility. I married you not just for your heart. But I will marry your whole family. And with that, I am to understand your job, work, and responsibility. And you're the head of the family. My job is to support you."
"But I still want you to be happy," Tengku Hassanal said.
"I am happy," Sunny told him.
"Are you sure?" He asked her. Sunny smiled and nodded.
"Very sure. If I'm not, then I'm lying to myself," she told him while holding his hands.
"I love you," he kissed her forehead.
"I love you too."

"Do you think this is fine?"
Tengku Hassanal sliced the beef before giving it to Sunny. She tasted it and then nodded, giving him a thumbs up.
"Perfect," she nodded.
"Good," he replied before continuing to slice the beef.
"Everything good here?" Tengku Hassanal's mother came by.
"Everything's good," Sunny grinned.
"Where's dad?" Tengku Hassanal asked while handing the plate with beef to Sunny.
"In the living room with your uncles," Tengku Hassanal's mother replied.
"Oh, okay. Ma, remember I told you and Dad about how I was thinking of leaving the royal family?" Tengku Hassanal said.
"I do. I remember," said his mother and looked at Sunny.
"We've talked about it," Sunny smiled.
"What's your decision?" she asked the couple.
"We're not doing that. It's better just to stay," Tengku Hassanal said.
"Thank God. I'm happy with your decision. But even if you were to go with the plan, I support you, too. Well, good decision you made," their mother smiled.
Sunny smiled and nodded.
"I'll leave to put these first," Sunny excused herself before walking away.
While she walked towards the table of food, she was greeted by one of Tengku Hassanal's sisters.
"Hey, sis," she greeted.
"Hi. How's the food?" Sunny asked her with a chuckle.
"Amazing. Did you guys cater too?" Her sister asked. Sunny nodded.
"Those grilled chicken and the cupcakes were catered. Others, no," Sunny told her.
"Did mom bake the brownies?" she asked.
"Exactly," Sunny pointed at her, amazed by how she could guess.
"I know when it comes to brownies," she replied.
Sunny laughed, "You enjoy the food. I'm gonna go upstairs to go to the toilet first."
"Sure. I love the foods you made, though," she told her.
Sunny laughed, "Thanks."
Sunny left the dinner and escaped upstairs. She just wanted some time alone and a moment to catch up with herself. Since afternoon, she and Tengku Hassanal have been preparing food for their family dinner today.
Well, not all the food, but since the food they prepared was a little time-consuming, they were in the kitchen for a long time. And even now, Tengku Hassanal is still grilling the steak.
They do potluck. The other family members bring food to share together. But well, being the dinner host, they had to prepare more food because they are one big family.
Sunny sat on the single couch and scrolled through her phone for a few minutes before she heard a knock on the door. When she looked at the door, it was Tengku Hassanal.
"Who's grilling the steak?" Sunny asked.
"Ismail," Tengku Hassanal replied, throwing the towel around his neck into the laundry basket.
"I'm so tired," Sunny huffed, placing her phone on the table.
"You cooked a lot," Tengku Hassanal chuckled, walking towards the balcony overlooking their backyard where the dinner party is held.
Some of their family members are in the swimming pool. The kids are obviously in the swimming pool. Their parents are seated together at the picnic table.
Sunny got up and joined Tengku Hassanal at the balcony.
"Good job, today," Tengku Hassanal ruffled her hair.
"Don't do that," Sunny whined.
He laughed in response before kissing her head, "You smell bad."
"You smell sour," Sunny replied before Tengku Hassanal smelled himself.
"I don't. I smell like grilled steak," he replied.
Sunny laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Well, I love seeing you with your hair up. In a clip. To be exact, this outfit. So comfy yet so attractive," Tengku Hassanal said with his arms wrapped around her waist.
"And me smiling like shit?" Sunny asked him.
Tengku Hassanal laughed, "You always smell nice."
"I don't right now," she replied.
"Whatever," he pecked her lips.
"You guys!"
Tengku Hassanal and Sunny immediately turned their heads towards the voice.
"Not in front of us!" Tengku Ismail shouted.
Sunny laughed before entering their room.
"You just need to find the one!" Tengku Hassanal replied before getting into the room.
"You're going back down now?" Tengku Hassanal asked Sunny as she placed her phone on the dressing table.
"Yeah," Sunny replied, clipping back her hair with the claw clip.
"A second," Tengku Hassanal pulled her by her waist before kissing her on her lips.
Sunny chuckled and tapped his shoulders after a few seconds.
"We have our family downstairs," she said.
"I hope you're not too tired after this whole dinner thing," he said as they walked towards the door.
Sunny slapped his shoulder, "Don't even think of it."
Tengku Hassanal grinned sheepishly.
