Until I Met You

Chapter 20

Tonight, is annual movie night at Jackie's house and I was really pumped about it

I know I am nerd to be so happy about a stupid movie night but tonight is a great excuse to stop thinking and over thinking about the new teaching job back in North Carolina 

Oh, and mentioning home this movie night is also a great excuse to make me stop thinking about how much of a disaster it will be when I do finally head back

"Mom just called" Lilly said walking down into the living room "Movie night it canceled"

I looked over at her "what do you mean canceled" I walked into the living room where Tegan and Lilly were watching something on the TV "you can't just cancel movie night"

"The TV is broken so no movie" she said simply reaching over to grab the remote but Tegan looked at her "touch it you die" she said grabbing it and placing it by her legs

"How did the TV break it was fine" I asked taking a seat on one of the living room chairs

"Something about Dad playing golf on the Wii I don't know I didn't pay that much attention"

"why not just have movie night here" I asked grabbing my phone

"Sorry Ky mom said they were just going to head to bed early they're going to replace it first thing tomorrow and then we can have it" Lilly got up and headed for the kitchen

Well that sucks I was really looking forward to movie night. I walked into the kitchen and hopped onto the counter

"So ready to tell me when you and Kayden started talking again" I asked as Lilly pulled a Vitamin Water out of the fridge

"There's nothing much to say we talked and Kayden explain it to me" she said with a shrug "I'm not mad anymore end of story"

Wait what? What just happened there is no way she just talked and then was fine that is not how Lilly it usually takes a couple days before she starts to forgive you

One thing I do know is there had to have been more then talking that happened between them

"Ky your phone is going off" Tegan yelled from the living room

I slid down from the counter "we are not done talking about this" I said pointing at Lilly

Once I made into the Living room Tegan handed the phone to me and I answered it "Yes"

"Hey do you have plans for tomorrow night" Kayden asked

I thought for a couple of seconds "Not that I know of why"

"Scott wants to invite you over for dinner"

I slumped down on the couch "Why" I asked

"You remember when I told you he asked me about you" Kayden asked "and you remember when I told him to ask you and not me"

I nod my head but realized he couldn't see me "Yea"

"Well he took my advice and wants to get to know you"

Tegan kicked me as she stretched out on the couch and placed her feet on my lap "Why didn't Cameron ask me" I pushed her feet off of me and she stared at me

Kayden let out a breath on the other end "He doesn't know" he said quietly

"So, he is not going to be there" I asked a little confused

"No he will be there he just doesn't know that Scott wants you there"

"why not" I asked

"I am just doing what Scott is paying me to do so are you free" Kayden asked
