Until I Met You

Chapter 40

As we drove up the long driveway to the brown stoned mansion I couldn't help but stare

There was a small fountain in the middle of the drive way and stairs on both sides of it that lead up to a flat platform and then the front door

Photographers stood out in the drive way snapping away at any car that pulled in, there was more over by the front door and I can bet there would be tons inside

I looked over at Kayden and he gave me a smile "It'll be fun" he said as he parked his car on the side of the house

"Sure if you say so"

Kayden got out of the car and opened the door for me holding out one of his hands

"Kayden I am capable of getting out of the car on my own" I said stepping out and tripping on my dress and I would have hit the ground but he caught me on time

"Shut up" I said as Kayden muffled a laugh "No I mean you are totally capable" he said holding his hands up in defense as I looked at my dress making sure I didn't rip it

"It's the dress and heels they're not my strong suit"

Kayden grabbed my hand and wrapped it around his bicep "Here"

We headed off toward the stairs and I relied more on Kayden to help me up them then my own body seriously I really need to learn to walk in heels or I just need to not wear five inch heels 

Once we made it into the house I let out a breath and looked around

There was two winding stair cases that lead up to an over head balcony I looked up at the huge chandelier that was hanging above us

Everyone was sprawled out everywhere but they were mostly gathered in a room a couple feet from us "There you are Kayden I-"

I turned around to see Cameron all dressed up in a navy blue suit with a light blue tie "Kylie Wow" he said looking at me

"Really" I asked smoothing out my dress and fixing my sleeves

I let go of Kayden's arm feeling confident enough to stand on my own again "She looks great doesn't she" Kayden asked moving over to Cam's side

"Wow" Cameron repeated again and I couldn't help but laugh

Kayden coughed and shoved him with his shoulder "Right" Cameron said shaking his head and looking down at his feet "Kayden dad needs you for something" he said changing the subject

"What is it" Kayden asked and Cameron shrugged "Something with the new project he can't figure it out and since you set it up"

"I have to fix it" Kayden finished and then he left mumbling something to himself 

"So I didn't know if you were coming or not" Cameron said looking at me

"I wasn't really sure either but somehow Kayden talked me into it" I pointed down at the dress "and somehow manage to get me this dress which actually fits perfectly and is my favorite color"

Cameron nod his head "Yea he is good with stuff like that"

"The only problem is that I can't walk in these" I lifted up the dress a little and stuck out my foot trying my best not to loose balance

"Well" Cameron said offering me his arm "that's why you have me"

I placed my arm around his and we headed into the bigger room were the party was actually going on

"So is Sawyer with Jackie" he asked and I shook me head "Lilly is watching her tonight so I could go"

"Perfect" he said with a smile and I couldn't stop my heart from pounding in my chest I swear his smile has to be one of my favorite things about him
