Until I Met You

Chapter 26

Lunch later on that day was well lets just say the tension in the room was very thick

I got to finally meet the girl who Uncle Joe has been talking about in our text her name is Hayley and she wasn't at all what I expected

I want to start off by saying Uncle Joe doesn't have the best track record with dating and after his first wife I didn't really think he was going to find anyone who could put up with him

Lets just say Joe can be a bit of a kid, and not really take things serious oh and on top of that he tends to do things that will most likely want you to run away from him but I liked his crazy side it's one of the reason I actually like him and I don't just take a liking to anybody in my family

So in my house I have exactly six rooms. Three on the second floor, another two on the first and one was converted into a bedroom in the basement

Katie and Jason had called dips on the guest room on first floor and Joe had called dips on Tegan's room saying that it was bigger and of course Hayley was staying with him

Which means Katie's two kids will be taking her old room on the first floor as well. Mom and Dad has their room of course, which leaves us with the room downstairs in the basement and my old one

Mom had gave my room to Isaac when he had first came with Hayley and now he shares it with Cameron. Boys are sleeping in my room.

So that leaves Tegan and I downstairs with the room in the basement not that is was a bad room

My whole basement was furnished and made in to a family room when I was five. Light Gray carpet covered the cement floors, a couch was sat in front of an old stone fire place and a flat screen right above it. Foosball and a very old version of PAC-man was sitting in a corner looking like it hadn't been touched in years, mom hated that dad bought them but I loved staying awake and watching him play PAC-man when I was younger

I walked past the closed door on my left that was now converted into a storage room

I opened the door right next to it and flipped on the light switch the white colored walls came to life

There was a queen size bed in the center of the room with two black night stands that stood on both sides of the bed. Everything about this room was plain from the white comforter to the empty walls with not even one trace of a picture frame

"Welcome home" Tegan said crashing on to the bed being sarcastic "I can't believe Uncle Joe called dibs on my room"

I laughed "I can't believe mom gave it to him even after you begged for it" I pulled my suit case in and walked over to the closet

"Oh but I do" she said sitting up "that's just what mom does"

I opened the closet door ready to hang up my clothes when I was surprise with a bunch of boxes

I grabbed one of them out and moved it over to the bed and pulled it open "wait Ky-"Tegan said trying to stop me but it was to late

It was a box full of my stuff "What happened" I asked pulling out my fifth grade clay art projected that had been crushed to pieces

Most of the papers that was in the box had been ripped or was kind of wet with mold "There was a huge flood last year and" she said looking at some of the stuff

I reached in and grabbed my baby book that was just stuffed in to the box most of the pictures were ruined and the book was barley together

Tegan reached in and grabbed a few of my science fair ribbons "Sorry Kylie"

I went back and grabbed the rest of the boxes and they were all the same every school project and award had be ruined, most of my baby clothes were stained with yellow and green colors and smelled bad
