"You know, when I saw your message, I was confused. Who is having the party?" Diana asked as she walked in, carrying dinner.

She wore a dark blue linen shirt tucked into her cream trousers. A jumper on her shoulders. Her hair was down, flowing onto her shoulders  with a tray in her hands.

"I am for Sam and Barry. A small personal party for my friends and family," Elijah glanced up from his IPad, watching her approach him and sit down

"Am I included in that list, or am I just the help?" Diana leaned closer to him

"Let me think about it," Elijah smiled back. He paused, putting his tablet on the coffee table as he stared at her lips as he bought himself closer to her.

As he was about to kiss her, the doorbell rang.

"Fuck,"

He pulled away, answering the door to Charlie who was distress. He kept fidgeting and saw a sight of relief when Elijah the door.

"Hey,"

"Hi Charlie,"

"Was I interrupting? Can I come in?"

"No, it's fine," Elijah responded. "We were just chatting about the party I'm planning for Sam and Barry,"

"You're hosting a party?" Charlie asked, following him inside the apartment. He saw Diana on the couch. He glanced at his friend. He was getting seemingly closer to Diana

"Yes in my apartment for Sam and Barry,"

"Okay," Charlie said. "Hi Diana,"

"Hi,"

"I didn't know you and Elijah were so close," He suggested.

"Neither did I," Diana shrugged back

"What can I do for you Charlie?" Elijah cut to the point, changing the subject for them all

"Er...I actually need your help. I told you about my job offer. Well, I accepted it. Now I also need to look the part,"

"You need suits?" Elijah raised an eyebrow, already measuring Charlie's size in his head

"Yes. The ones I have are all years old and cheap quality. I want to make a good impression,"

"What's your budget?" Diana asked

"Around $500, I guess if I'm really pushing it. Money is a bit tight with a baby,"

"How about I pay for your suits so you can be a big shot lawyer,"

"No, no. I'm not taking money from you, Elijah. If I can't afford it, that's my problem,"

"Think of it as a gift then,"

"I'll think about it," Charlie replied

"What's to think about? Come on, man, let me do this for you," Elijah picker up his wallet and keys.
