Around lunch, Elijah finally had the courage to face Paul. Paul's background was complicated, and Elijah saved him from a life of crime. He still felt bad for what he said.

"Paul," He called his assistant

"Go away, Elijah," Paul said. Some of his employees stopped and stared. No one called him Elijah in the building.

He called Paul to his office. "I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean you,"

"You generalised it so it did mean me, and that's a horrible assumption to make Elijah. You don't know her, and you have no right to judge her,"

"Okay, I'll hold my hands up to that, but I consider you family. You're like my brother. I wanted to clear it between us,"

Paul nodded back. I gave him a slight hug. "And they call you heartless," Paul grinned

"Wrong assumption," Elijah smiled

"Both of you look so cute," Maria gushed as both boys stood side by side. Elijah wore a maroon suit, his hands tucked away whilst Silas wore a white shirt with a black blazer over it and stood shoulder to shoulder with his brother

"Let me take a photo." She picked up her phone and took a couple.

"Mom, get in, too." Silas took the phone and took a selfie.

"See you later, mom," both yelled as they got into Elijah's ferrari. Once on the road , Elijah began to talk. "You know how it goes. Stay close and don't talk to anyone. "

"I know bro" Silas tapped the window as he glanced outside. Over the years, he had gone to so many of Elijah's events as his plus one he knew the drial

"I haven't been back. I don't want to be back. I did it for mom." Elijah's justified. High school didn't have the best memories for him. He'd rather forget it all together

"You don't have to explain especially to me. You did what you had to and be proud. You earned every bit of it. No one can take it away from you. "

They sat in silence for the remainder of the ride, which was short. Cars were already parked in the car park of the hotel they booked. The hotel was a block away from the high school.

"Elijah," Charlie called as they entered

"Charlie," Elijah grinned, approaching him. "Anne, you look beautiful." Elijah kissed her briefly on the cheeks

"You don't look so bad yourself." She laughed, glancing at his suot

"Where's Zoey?" Elijah asked, glanced around.

"Here," Charlie took her out of the car seat. Elijah held in her arms, playing with her

The music changed from upbeat to  slow dance, Charlie and Anne went to dance, so he held onto her. Elijah smiled, watching Charlie and Anne as he joined them, dancing slowly with Zoey in his arms

"Elijah," a familiar voice called. He turned around and saw Henry with his wife. Henry was in a black tux, and Patricia wore a tight pink dress

"Last I don't remember you had a baby." Henry cautiously looked at him

"She's not mine. She's my friend's daughter, " He replied with a slight laugh.

"Babe, I'll be back." Patricia walked off towards her friends. They sat down at a table, catching up along with plotting how to ruin Elijah's life

"Guys, we have to do something. Henry is becoming fond of Elijah. "

"Don't worry, babe, we got Elijah covered," Brittany assured. "You worry about your man, leave the rest to us."
