"Jedayel!" I gasped to myself, my heart went crazy when I saw him, would he still be mad about the way I avoided him? Did he still love me as much?

He smiled at me as he stepped into the house.

"Salaam Alaikum," He greeted my parents, with his charming smile.

"Wa Alaikum Salaam," They said back, both of them were obviously impressed, and Jedayel had definitely gone to an extent to impress them!

He looked amazing in his white shirt tucked in his black trousers and his hair messy, he had obviously spent alot of time on that because it was gelled.

We all went into the living room, Jedayel's parents easily started a conversation with my parents.

"So Ameerah," Jedayel grinned, I could tell he was trying harder than hard to make a good impression of himself to my parents.

As usual, in the middle, my mom got up to take the tea cups and I got up to help her, and as usual, once we were in the kitchen she asked me if I wanted to talk to him alone.

"Yes, yes!" I said, a little too eagerly.

"Oooh," My mom raised her eyebrows.

"Mama, don't tease me!"

"Ok Ameerah, good luck," She laughed.

"Why don't we leave the two to talk a bit," My mom suggested re-entering the living room.

"Oh of course!" Jedayel's mom smiled getting up straight away, every one filed out of the living room into the kitchen, I was still standing by the kitchen door.

"So princess," Jedayel said getting up when my parents were in the kitchen and unable to hear anything.

"So charming," I grinned standing in front of him, he was still taller than me, taller by a head..

"I still can't get over how beautiful you've become," He said looking down at me.

"So you actually waited for me?" I said.

"Did you ever doubt me?" He grinned.

"You deserve the best," I shrugged.

"And that's why I'm asking for you,"

I smiled widely at that.

He took the ring out, the same ring he had taken out four years ago, he took it out of the box and held it up to his abdomen, only his elbow bending, the rest of his arm was straight.

"It was made for you," He said, both of us looking down at the ring, "Only for you.."

I held my hand out for him to put the ring on, it fitted like a glove, he talk my tiny hand into his huge one and looked at the ring.

"It's beautiful!" I said.

"Because it's on you're hand," He smiled.

"So what happened-" Jedayel's mom came into the room unexpectedly, her sentence was cut off when she saw the ring on my finger. She cover her mouth with her hands and squealed slightly to herself. "Is it a yes?" She asked hopefully.

I nodded.

"Ya Allah!" She squealed and pulled me into a hug.

My mom came in next.

"What happened?" She asked me.

I held out the hand with the ring on it.

"Congratulations!" She said both to me and Jedayel. The two dads came in and congratulated the both of us.

"When will the wedding be?" Jedayel's mom started.

"And the engagement party!" My mom said.

"How many guest will we call?" Jedayel's dad asked.

"What food will be served?" My dad inquired, every one laughed at that.

While the parents were busy planning everything, Jedayel and I went out into the backyard.

"So you realise you'll have to wear a dress?" Jedayel grinned. Usually I would shove him lightly but today I just wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Thanks for waiting for me," I mumbled into his chest.

"I told you princess, I love you, anything for you.."
