They loved each other with all they had. Affection such as theirs was largely ridiculed and frowned upon but they didn't care.
They openly wept, they shameless held each other, they comforted each other with pride.
They didn't understand why love like theirs was so reviled, but they loved each other regardless.
They weren't sure what part of their love disgusted people though, was it the fact they were both men? Or was it that they were merely friends?
There were no romantic feelings present in their love, yet the same slurs were hurled their way as they embraced. It confused them; why were they forbidden to feel this way?
