Chapter 313: The Here, and Now

I stood firm on my feet.

"That's it Tsubasa. Now focus, right here, right now on this fight. Take a deep breath, center yourself . . ."

I found myself following along. What was his aim, why was he helping me.

". . . Forget everything else, forget your worries, your fears, forget what holds you back. Focus on your breathing, your stance, and the blade in your hand. That's All that matters right here, and now," Yuwanyx took a stance, "Now Tsubasa, come at me!" Yuwanyx shouted loud enough for the crowd to hear.

The crowd cheered, and roared.

I took a stance myself. I felt the blade in my hand, my feet lock firm on the ground; I took another deep breath.

Feeling determined I dashed forward. Our swords clashed; back and forth we swung. We moved around each other, striking, and dodging.

"That's it Tsubasa, keep your pace, don't relax, and don't, break, focus!"

We continued to clash; Yuwanyx took a few hits, I took more.

Then I heard the announcer start to countdown.

"Five, four, three, two, and-"

My blade was about to fall on Yuwanyx.

". . . I give up!" Yuwanyx shouted out loud.
