Chapter 228: The Arnyvalkae

The second half of the cave was much darker to the point of being unable to see anything without the assistance of a torch.

Since I usually fought with a short sword and would only need one hand, I opted to hold the flame so Xuelian could focus entirely of fighting.

The monsters in the latter half of the cave were stronger, combined with the darkness of the cave our limited visibility made progress slow.

Eventually we found end of cave, there was a rather large arch way that lead to a large open room with a small pool of water in the back half of the room. Above the water there was a golden flame shimmering and shining.

After entering a swarm of creatures resembling [sprites] or [wisps] flooded the room. These creatures looked like small balls of light and fire, with wings and a ghostly trail behind them.

The swarm of creatures began to collect into a single form and slowly morphed to resemble something that looked like a lion, tiger, or some other big cat.

A «health bar» then appeared above the creature along with the name.
