Chapter 6

Adam's POV

I woke up at 7:30 and got ready. I grabbed my phone scrolling through the dozens of messages to see if Nicole was there. I finally found her.

'I'm fine, thanks. I'm going to take some painkillers in a bit to help with the pain. I don't even know why I'm telling you this lol. Nicole'

I felt so happy to see her text. I replied in an instant.

"Sorry for the late reply, hope you're okay now. But guess what?? My car is repaired!!'
-Adam.

I quickly got ready and went downstairs with a grin on my face.

"I've made you breakfast, " Mum said cheerfully.

"Thanks, but guess what? My car is repaired!!" I said excitedly.

"Seriously? I thought you were going to tell me that you've got a girlfriend or even an A+!" She said whilst rolling her eyes.

I rolled my eyes at her too.

"I've only started this new school, why would I have an exam on the first day?" I said.

Dad came in and kissed my mum on her cheek and she gave him a cup of coffee. I can't stand coffee. It smells as awful as it tastes.

Mum and Dad sat at the table with me and we all ate toast. My sister, Amelia, was ill so she was still in bed.

"I'm going to head off to work now, bye darling. See you, Adam." Dad said whilst heading out.

Dad had his own business that was really successful. Mum is a criminologist and she helped out with the police to find any evidence. She also had a business too so she worked with Dad sometimes.

" Mum, I'm going to head out now." I said.

"Don't break your car again, idiot," Mum shouted.

"I love you too," I said, whilst shaking my head.

Quickly, I grabbed my keys and headed out. I sat in my beautiful car. It was literally the most beautiful car ever. It was red with silver details. Mum and dad bought me it on my birthday.

I started the engine and drove to Nicole's house. She probably needs a lift because she must be in a lot of pain and it'd be harder for her to walk to school.

I got out the car and knocked on the door. Nicole's lookalike opened the door, I'm guessing it was her sister. She just stared at me, eyes wide.

"Ermm, hiya. Is Nicole in? I'm going to give her a lift to school." I said to her.

"Oh my fucking god," She yelped as she ran in.

"Mum! Dad! Mark! Nicole's boyfriends here!" She screamed so loud.

I heard many feet stomp down the stairs. Two seconds later I was faced with Nicole's mum, dad, brother and her very loud sister. They all stared at me with wide eyes.

Nicole's mum came up to me and hugged me. Nicole's dad gave me one of those man hugs. Her brother shook my hand. Her sister just screamed so many things at me that I can't seem to make sense of.

"Come over today night and have dinner with us, bring your parents too!" Nicole's mum excitedly said.

"What did you say your name was?" Her dad said.

"I'm Adam, sir but me and Nicole are just friends, I can't come tonight and my parents are working tonight as well," I said.

"Please call me Jack," he stated.

"I'm sorry, how rude of me! I'll go call Nikki for you," Nicole's Mum said.

Moments later, Nicole came out and said bye to  her parents and we sat in the car. She looked scared and anxious. I held her hand as an attempt to comfort her.

"It's going to be okay. I'll talk to Chloe and make sure she doesn't try anything. I'll walk in with you and she'll know you're with me and she won't hurt you." I said, reassuringly.

"Thanks, I appreciate it more than you know, " she said and smiled at me.

I smiled back at her.

"Pretty nice car you got here." She smirked.

"Nice? Seriously? It's absolutely gorgeous!" I gasped.

She just rolled her eyes. I started the engine and we zoomed to school, catching eyes of onlookers whilst they admired my beautiful car.
