A/N: Watch the shortfilm above, the story is more or less based on it. So yes, it will get a little sad. I'm not sure if I'll make it exactly like it or not yet, so let's see where this goes.

EDIT: Video has been removed from YouTube so PLEASE watch here, in the link (: https://vimeo.com/16442185

(Grow up with me by Keaton Henson)

Lets run in fields and fear the dark together, fall off swings and burn special things and both play outside in bad weather.

Lets eat badly, lets watch adults drink wine and laugh at their idiocy, lets sit in the back of the car, making eye contact with strangers driving past making them uncomfortable not caring, not swearing, don't fuck.

Lets both reclaim our superpowers the ones we all have and lose with our milk, teeth the ability not to fear social awkwardness to panic when locked in the cellar, still sure theres something down there and while picking from pillows each feather lets both stay away from the edge of the bed forcing us closer together.

Lets sit in public, with ice cream all over both our faces sticking our tongues out at passers by, lets cry lets swim, lets everything.

Lets not find it funny lest someone falls over.

Classical music is boring, poetry baffles us both as nothing that's said is what's meant, plays are long, tiresome, sullen and filled... with hours that could be spent rolling down hills and grazing our knees on cement.

Lets hear stories and both lose our innocence, learn about parents and forgiveness, death and morality, kindness and art, thus losing both of our innocent hearts but at least we won't do it apart.

Grow up with me.

Vic's POV

"I'm seven, I'm seven!" I cheered, happily. I've been waiting my whole life for this!

"We're seven!" Kellin grinned, pulling on my shirt. I nodded my head at him eagerly. "We're older than my dog!" Kellin spoke in wonder.

"She's not seven?!" I gasped. "But she's so big!"

"She's four." Kellin shrugged.

"Hm. I guess this makes us adults." I thought. "MAMA!"

I hugged Kellin as I waited for my mom to come into the backyard. She was getting the cake ready for today. Our birthdays were on the same day and it made me really happy because I loved Kellin. He's my best friend! Kellin's head dropped onto my shoulder and he held me back.

"Aw, you boys are so cute! What did you want, Vic?" My mama arrived and crouched down to speak to me. I let go of Kellin and grinned at her.

"Are we adults today?" I questioned, my head cocked to the side.

"We're older than Princess!" Kellin exclaimed.

My mama laughed quietly, although I wasn't sure why. We were being serious. "Yes sweetie, you are. Today, you two are men!"

I gasped and turned my head slowly to look at Kellin who had a similar grin on his face. His wide blue-green eyes shined with excitement.

Kellin pulled on my hand and ran in the direction of the bouncy castle. We both crawled through the little entrance and began to jump, our shoes already off from earlier. We knew our other friends were here, but this was our day.

Kellin let out a long scream as he crashed into one of the four corners of the bouncy castle and went around to crash into another one. "Aggghhhhh!"

I laughed loudly, knocking myself into them with him. This was better than musical chairs. Just as I was going to run into another one, I turned around to be met with Kellin's alarmed eyes, as our foreheads knocked together and we fell back on our butts.

"Ow! MOOMMM!" Kellin yelled, his eyes watering. It didn't hurt me much but I was sad that I hurt Kellin.

"I'm sorry, Kell." I frowned, scooting close to him. I put a hand on his and he sniffled.

"It's okay. I'm sorry too." Kellin pouted. He put his arms around me and I hugged him back. Both of us frowning and sniffling, crying.

"Kellin, honey?"

Kellin's mom peeked through the little door, we both turned to look at her and Kellin got up and ran to his mom. "Oh, what's wrong, baby?"

"Vic bumped into me and it hurted." (A/N: cringing at the word, but they kids.)

"I didn't mean to!" I sniffled.

"He didn't mean to." Kellin nodded. His mom laughed a little. Why does everyone keep laughing?

She leaned in and gave a kiss to Kellin, right on his forehead where I had ran into him. "There, you're okay now. All better."

Kellin grinned, kissing her cheek. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby. Now come on, we're gonna cut the cake, you two!" She smiled. My eyes lit up and I raced out of the bouncy castle with Kellin.

We both sat at a table just for us where the cake would be. We sat right next to eachother as my mama brought out the cake and set it in front of us. Candles already on it.

"CAKE!" Kellin screeched. I laughed next to him and jumped up and down in my seat.

"Okay, okay, everyone get ready!" Kellin's mom spoke, clapping her hands together. My mama had a camera in her hands and she held it up as everyone began to sing.

"Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Kellin and Vic!" They paused to laugh. Why? I don't know.

"Happy birthday to you!" They all clapped and Kellin tapped on my shoulder.

"On three?" He asked. I nodded and closed my eyes.

"One," I spoke.

"Two." He said back.

"Three!" I smiled, I sucked in some air and blew it out as I made a wish.

I wish Kellin and I will be best friends forever.

A/N: Hey! It was a short first chapter, but it's nice, I think! Hope you like it! They will be kids for a little bit more, like seven more chapters? Including like ages 11 & 12. Trust me, it's important, then they'll be teenager after, okay? XD drama will come soon if you wait!
