Everyone's running from something but we don't know when it's coming...

~Chapter 54~ The wedding

"I'm so happy that it's finally going to happen!" Anne squealed when she hugged me.

"I'm really happy that Danny found someone who tied him down. And I'm really happy that you've found someone special." Rina said smiling and embraced me in a hug. 

We just sat down and talked for a while until Laura went for a shower. When Laura walked upstairs I heard the doorbell so I went to open it and there were my mum and Ailish.

"Hi."  I said surprised and opened the door a bit more for them to come in. They walked in and just like a few minutes ago they hugged me and told me that they couldn't wait.

When Laura came downstairs again they decided that it was time to start on getting all of us ready. Anne was going to do our make-up cause that's her job so she's really good at it. They were all dressed in a dress that matched with mine which I loved. Once they were all ready they started on my hair and make-up. Anne did my make-up natural just the way I liked it. I don't like wearing to much make-up. It's like you're wearing more make-up than clothes then... When everything was ready Rina helped me in my dress and the finishing touches. We walked back into the living room where I saw my mum with tears in her eyes. I walked over to her and embraced her in a loving hug.

"You're so gorgeous." She said smiling when we pulled away.

"Thanks." I whispered smiling at her.

"I have something for you." She said reaching for her back and she got a small old box out of it. It was a bracelet with a small horseshoe on it.

"On Irish wedding it's a tradition to wear a horseshoe on you somewhere and this is the one I wore on my wedding." She explained. I felt tears in my own eyes but tried not to cry cause I didn't want to ruin my just perfectly done make-up. I put it on and hugged my mum again.

Danny's pov:

I was standing in front of the mirror trying to get my tie right. It was the thousandth time that I tried it but I still didn't like it. Suddenly I heard footsteps behind me and felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Need some help?" Mark said smiling when I turned around.

"Yeah, thanks." I said relieved. I don't know how he did it, but he just did it one time and it was perfect.

"Thanks." I said smiling.

"No problem mate." He said patting my back and turned around to leave again.

"Mark?" I asked before he was out of the room.

"Yeah?" He replied turning around again.

"Were you nervous?" I asked.

"Yeah of course! But it was also one of the most beautiful days of my life." He said coming closer again.

"Man, you have a beautiful girl who wants to be your wife. Everything's perfectly planned. What can go wrong?" He asked putting his hand on my shoulder again.

"I don't know." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Exactly. Now come, we have to go." He said patting my back while we walked downstairs where Glen and one of my brothers were waiting. We all got ready to leave and on our way to the beach I couldn't help but think about my dad. I'd do everything to have him here today, to have him smiling at me while I'm marrying the women of my dreams. To calm me down. To congratulate me when we're married and to welcome Rose officially to the family. But I know that he's looking down on me at the moment and somehow that calms me down.

Before I know it we're already there and when I step out of the car I realize that it's a beautiful day. The sun's shining, there are no clouds but it isn't to warm. Everybody was running around adding the finishing touches while I was daydreaming about Rose. I have to idea how long I've been standing there but Glen came walking towards me asking if I was ready. I just nodded my head and walked with him. I stood there next to the officer of the Civil Registry. I felt everybody's eyes burning into me, normally I didn't have a problem with people looking at me I mean thousandths of people are looking at me almost every night but somehow I felt weird now.
