Twenty Two

Joe smiled as Jace jumped up at him Joe stroking his fur as he did. He shut the door behind him Demi now having Jace back in her company who led her through into the living room where they both took a seat. He had managed to get here without anyone knowing so they wouldn't have paparazzi disturbing their date night.

"How were things with the police?" Joe questioned.

"I told them about the rattle and that it was hidden elsewhere, they just told me to phone again if anything comes up and they'll get here sooner with me not being able to see. They cleaned everything up for me so you don't have to now, sorry if you could be doing something else, I guess I just wanted to see you." Joe couldn't help but grin.

"I would have came over anyway Demi, I wanted to see you too," Joe smiled as she looked in his direction but he too could see that she was looking past him. "C-Can I kiss you?" He had wanted to since he had met her, growing strong feelings pretty much straight away.

"Yes." Demi breathed a small smile on her face but it was soon washed away when she felt his lips against hers. She had never had such a feeling before moving her lips along with his as he brought her closer to him. He didn't take it any further than that knowing that this was her first real kiss if not her first at all. He pulled away from her Demi moaning slightly from loss of connection, Joe smiled pecking her lips again. It was as good as he imagined.

"You're so beautiful." Joe complimented moving some hair out of her face so he could see her hazel brown eyes a little better.

"I'll take your word for it," Demi cracked a small joke making him laugh, he hesitated but lifted her up onto his lap smiling as she curled up against his chest. "What colour hair do you have?"

"Black, it's short see." Joe stated grabbing her hand forcing her to run her fingers through his raven coloured hair Demi smiling moving her hand by herself.

"It's soft." Demi answered pulling her hand back down.

"Herbal Essences." Demi giggled moving her hand to hit cheek pulling away slightly when she felt the stubble after he hadn't had a shave for a couple of days.

"Get a shave scruffy!" Joe laughed. "What colour are your eyes?"

"Chocolate brown from the mother." Joe answered.

"I always used to like boys with brown eyes." Demi answered smiling as she felt him kiss her gently then pull away again. He locked his arms around her keeping her close to him.

"Be my girlfriend?" His whispered in her ear.

"Of course, I already let you kiss me didn't I?" Joe laughed squeezing her tighter in his arms. He knew it would be hard to keep her out of the public eye but he would do it for her, he didn't want her to get hurt because of who he was. He didn't want her to know who he was. Not until he knew she'd treat him the same. He didn't know if it was the best decision he's ever made but he would go through with it if it meant keeping her in his life.

Joe and Demi soon put a film on Demi soon curled up against Joe again feeling his strong arms around her. There was no need for her to look at the screen, she could hear it just fine where she was. Jace was on the couch next to them sleeping content that Demi was okay with Joe. He would soon wake up if she got up in case she needed him to guide her anywhere. About halfway through the film Joe felt Demi settle against him falling asleep. He couldn't help but smile. He watched the end of the film before standing up bringing her gently in his arm. He carried her upstairs stripping her down into her underwear so she would be comfortable then pulling the duvet up over her body.

"Sleep well Demi." Joe pecked her lips making sure Jace knew where she was cleaning up downstairs then leaving heading home himself. It was pretty late so he was able to get home without a problem.
