Overnight, Chang'an was filled with a solemn atmosphere as troops stationed in and around the city, but the fifty thousand elite soldiers hadn't all entered the capital. Most of them were stationed nearby to guard and patrol. Zhou Yi handed over command of the seven thousand soldiers to Chu Mingyun and hastily returned to his original position.

In the court, officials observed with a mix of hatred, unease, and excitement. It felt as if they could clearly see a tight string above their heads gradually tensing, ready to snap at any moment.

"With Zhou Yi guarding, there shouldn't be much trouble around Chang'an. The other officials in the court are not of significant concern. The only thing to watch out for is the Imperial Guards at Jianzhang Palace," Chu Mingyun, looking at the spread map on the table, pointed to a location, "The Imperial Guards are the emperor's personal guards, directly under the command of Li Yanzheng. They might be our biggest obstacle."

"Understood," Qin Zhao said, "I will send someone to keep an eye on them."

Chu Mingyun nodded, and Qin Zhao looked at him, adding, "Brother Shifu, the Su family's people have come several times, asking to see Su Shiyu."

"Weren't they all turned away?" Chu Mingyun replied nonchalantly.

Qin Zhao hesitated, "Yes, but this can't go on forever."

Chu Mingyun raised an eyebrow, not responding.

In the quiet moment, two shadow guards entered the room. They exchanged a glance and spoke in low voices, "Master, Lord Su has awakened."

"Awakened?" Chu Mingyun was momentarily stunned, "It's only been two days." He regained his composure, "What, didn't he curse at me as soon as he woke up?"

"Lord Su only said he's waiting for you at the other courtyard."

"Hmm." Chu Mingyun walked towards the door, and Qin Zhao couldn't help but follow. "Brother Shifu, are you just going like this?"

Chu Mingyun stopped his steps, suddenly saying, "I'm thinking... what will he say and do when I go there? Perhaps he slept it off and has a change of heart, maybe he's waiting to scold me, or maybe he'll try to persuade me again..." He raised a hand to his forehead, remained silent for a moment, and then chuckled softly, "But he won't kill me, right?"

Qin Zhao was speechless. Seeing him step out of the study, Qin Zhao hesitated to follow, then gave instructions to the two shadow guards to tail him.

As Chu Mingyun entered the courtyard, he saw Su Shiyu already waiting for him.

Su Shiyu stood with a slight turn to the side, holding a wine cup in his hand. He gazed at the pear blossoms on the tree, which, in just two days, had bloomed fully, resembling a layer of snow. The stone table under the tree had a maidservant preparing exquisite wine. The scene was almost identical to before, but this time, Su Shiyu wasn't waiting for him, and his face remained indifferent, like a flawless mask.

Before Chu Mingyun could approach, a white figure swiftly approached him. He raised his hand to intercept and brought it to his eyes. The white jade wine cup, still intact, created ripples in its contents, and not a drop spilled. Chu Mingyun looked up at Su Shiyu, who remained in the same posture, seemingly lost in thought, as if he hadn't noticed Chu Mingyun's approach.

"Heh." Chu Mingyun chuckled ambiguously, spun the cup in his fingertips, and then raised it for a drink. He casually tossed the cup to the ground, where it shattered with a loud crash. "This thing can't harm me," he said with a calm gaze. He then reached behind and pulled out a sword from one of the shadow guards, throwing it towards Su Shiyu, "You have to use this."
