Vince was back at the shack. He felt unsatisfied. He didn't kill a single person last night. There was a full moon and he was stuck with animals. He wanted to kill someone soon. Hugo was sitting at the table, eating. Vince joined him.
"You okay, Vince?"
"Sure. You?" Vince sat down beside him.
"Just dandy. That was a great moon and we are meeting tonight. The group is getting together for a meeting, you coming?" Hugo asked in between bites.
Vince grabbed a steak and smiled. "Hell yes. Are we planning for a fight?"
Hugo smiled. "Yes. I think there are plans for a hunt later this week. We are going to hunt some humans, if you're interested."
Vince laughed. "Of course. Can't wait. I didn't kill a single human last night and I was just thinking I missed it. I'm ready to get started, Hugo." He was chomping at the bit.
"Good to hear." Hugo smiled and looked at Vince. He looked wild and Hugo loved that look. Wild was great. "So, is that vampire going to be a problem? I know you mentioned a vampire in the Colorado pack."
"What? No. No problem. I was actually thinking up a surprise for that pack on the next moon. I will think it over and get some details ready and then we can talk about it." Vince smiled.
"Sounds great. I can't wait to hear it." Hugo finished his steaks and washed his plate. "I'm glad you're here, Vince. Get some rest, we are leaving at sunset."
"Right. I will." Vince paused. "Hugo?"
"Vince?"
"Thanks for this. I am happy there are people like me. I have somewhere I can feel normal." He cleared his throat. "My plan. I'm going to need a few wolves that have control on a moon for it to work."
Hugo laughed. "Sure. We have four of them. Strong and older. Good at what they do. Nasty individuals. I'm proud to call them my friends." These wolves were the worst of the worst. They were tough and mean. They never gave mercy. Hugo saw their work a number of times. They could take care of anything, not even one vampire.
Vince smiled. "Good. Now, the vampire never runs with the pack... he will be alone."
Hugo was getting excited as they made a plan.
