A Little Sigh

Adi and Bri inhale the aroma of freshly baked bread as they step into the "Baked by love" cafe. 

Bri- Such a yummy smell...

Sara looks up to welcome the customer only to find Adi and Bri. They exchange greetings. Sara offers them coffee and freshly made waffles. Adi and Bri thank her and proceed to talk about Ram and Priya. 

Bri- You know what, let's come to the point. I like your Priya way too much and I want her for my Ram. 

Bri's statement astounds Sara and Adi starts laughing. 

Adi- You sound like Ram's mother. 

Bri- I didn't know how else to say this. But you get the point, right Sara?

Sara also starts laughing. 

Sara- Yeah. I get it. Mein bhi ye hi chahti hun, samdhan ji. Mujhe bhi meri Priya ke liye aapki Ram pasand hain. 

Adi- To rishtan pakka samjhe? Isi baat pe waffle se muh meetha kar lete hain. 

Adi stuffs a piece of waffle in his mouth. Everyone starts laughing. 

Bri- I wish things were this easy. 

Sara- Me too. But times have changed. 

Adi- Also we are not their parents. 

They start to think about what they can do. But seem to find no solution. 

Sara- Mumma could convince her. But after the date with that rude guy, mumma has stopped putting any kind of pressure on her. 

Bri- Sara, I am so sorry for introducing that guy. I didn't know he was a jerk. He was from a seemingly good family so I supposed... 

Sara- It's ok, Bri. You have no fault in it. 

Bri- Priya was so hurt.

Sara- Also mumma. 

All of them start to discuss how they can convince Ram and Priya.

In Ram's office, Ram's PA informs him about Vedika, who has come to visit him. Ram tells him to let her come in immediately. 

Vedika enters Ram's cabin. Ram gets up from the chair and welcomes her. He offers her a chair. 

Ram- Is everything fine, Vedu? You look stressed. 

Vedika- I am fine, Ram. What about you? 

Ram- Life's going on. How is Shashi? 

Vedika- He's fine. 

Ram- Umm... Sid? 

Vedika- He is a little bit distracted. After the marriage was called off, he has become... 

Ram- I'm sorry. Actually apologizing to him won't be enough. 

Vedika- It's alright, Ram. You didn't know about Shivi's affair. Sid will be fine. He just needs to distract him from all this. 

Ram- Why doesn't Shashi share some responsibilities with him? That'd be good for him. 

Vedika- Actually, Ram. Our business is in such a stage. Shashi has neither enough time nor money to spend after him right now. Things are a bit...

Ram- Is he in a financial crisis? 

Vedika- I don't know, Ram. He doesn't really talk about it with me, you see. 

Ram- You need not worry, Vedu. I'll talk to him tonight. You are coming to Mr. Khanna's party, right? We have just started a new project. I can take Sid as an apprentice.
