My Dearest Asymptote (Sandro Marcos)

PART 33 - Hide and Seek

The next day, Elle go to the HQ office early since it is the schedule for the arrival of the customized Sandro Marcos' shirts, ballers, stickers, tarpaulins, and flyers.

She will be helping the staffs to arrange it with the girls: Anikka and Marielle.

Sandro arrived at exactly 9:00 am and walk directly to her office. He comes in as he saw Elle at her table and greeted her.

"Good morning lo...." He paused when he saw Anikka and Marielle on the office floor arranging some things. Elle looked at him so surprised and trying to tell him to stop through her eyes.

"Lo...Lorin Emmanuelle Mendoza, yeah! Hi Anikka Gatchalian and Marielle Chua. Good morning." he waved his shaking hands and give them an awkward smile.

"Naks, binati mo yata kami sir. Complete name pa." Anikka responds.

"Himala! Maganda yata gising natin ngayon sir ahh.." tukso naman ni Marielle.

"Ha ha, ahhh....I just woke up from the right side of my bed. Yeah, and ofcourse, I greeted you all since nandito din naman kayo. Simula na ng kampanya soon. Hoooo!" Sandro explained, stuttering.

"Ahhhhh. Okay sir. Kumusta naman po Valentines Day mo sir Sandro, sino po ka date mo?" Marielle asked.

Elle remain so quiet on her table and can't even look at them or atleast join the conversation.

Sandro put his hands on his pocket. "Ha? I didn't..."

"Si Miss Elle mukhang may lakad kagabi. I noticed that she arrived at her cubicle late." Marielle added.

When Elle heard her name being mentioned, she automatically look at Marielle. "Ha? I didn't...I mean, hindi naman siguro ako lumabas kagabi, and I uuuuhhhhm..." she stuttered.

Anikka on the other side give Elle and Sandro a teasing look alternately. She knows that something is going on so she's enjoying the hotseat moment of the two trying to deny things.

"Ano ka ba Mar. Chika ka naman diyan ehh. Todo deny na nga, este wala nga daw oh, diba Sir?"Anikka interrupts Marielle.

Sandro laugh awkwardly at what Anikka said. While Elle on her table is trying to pretend that she is busy with paperworks, but deep inside, her heart's beat are racing.

"Uhhhm, well ang aga niyo yata. Nakapag breakfast na ba kayo? Kape? Baka gusto niyo muna magkape?" Sandro suggested just to change the topic.

"Ay oo nga pala. Magkakape nga pala kami ni Marielle. Diba Mar? Tara magkape muna..." Anikka.

"Huh? Tapos na ako..." Marielle.

"Samahan mo na ako, di pa ako nakapagkape ehh." She grab Marielle's arms to go outside. "Sir? Sa pantry muna kami ha? Miss Elle, kape po or usap muna kayo ni Sir?" pagpapaalam ni Anikka sa kanila.

"Ahhh oo. Sige lang, susunod ako..." Elle said.

Anikka nods and the two went to the pantry leaving them a teasing look. Elle's face was so red, obviously so tensed of what's just going on inside the office. She look at Sandro and glared at him.

"Sands, what are you trying to call me kanina ha? Nasa trabaho tayo. Ano ba yan, hihimatayin naman ako sa'yo sa kaba ehh." Elle said while holding her face.

"Well, I'm sorry love. I didn't know they are here. Di ko kasi agad sila nakita na nasa sahig nag-aayos ng mga gamit." Sandro explained.

"Hayyy. Be careful next time please. I don't want them to know yet. Ayokong ma-bash dito, I mean..."

"Hahaha. Don't worry, they can't bash you." He giggled. "You're so genuine to be bashed. And look at your face now oh, nagba-blush ka na naman. Kinakabahan ka ba o kinikilig lang?" Sandro laughed, lifting his brows.

"Sandro naman...."

"Sorry na po, okay? Next time love, I'll be careful na. Promise." giving her a peace sign.

"Heeee. Dapat lang. Sige na, lumabas ka na doon. Take a look at the stuffs na dumating. Go na! Shoooo Alexander!" Elle said pushing Sandro outside.

"Wait lang. Baka gusto mo muna ng tea? Dalhan kita dito." he offered.

"No! Get out na please, love. I can't concentrate. Maawa ka naman."

"Okay. I understand naman na distracting talaga pag kinikilig at work. Hehehe." He chuckled and then move a little closer to Elle to whisper. "Love you Elle." He giggled again.

Elle shook her head as Sandro get out.

The following days are so hectic to all of them. As the local campaign is getting nearer, the Team Marcos doubled their time for the preparation of their proclamation rally.

There are so much schedule of a requisition of visit for their team from every municipalities. Anikka bring all of the list of schedules to Elle.

"Good morning Miss. May hinatid ang isang staff ni Gov. Matthew kanina. Here oh." Anikka said as she handed  the programs to Elle.

"Ay oo. Iyan na ba lahat? Thank you Mar. Akin na." She get it and look at the programs one by one.

"Nik, I'm sorry but why does in every program may nababasa akong surprise advance padapadakam for Sir Sandro? Ano ibig sabihin nito?" Elle asked as she is confused with the program flow.

"You didn't know? Padapadakam is somehow the traditional na ginagawa nila dito sa Ilocos kapag may mga magbi-birthday..." Anikka said.

"Birthday? B....bakit, sinong magbi-birthday?"

"Si Sir Sandro, hindi mo alam? Mygod hehehe. Next week na yun miss, March 7." Anikka added.

"What? Omg! I didn't know..."

"Hala patay tayo diyan. Naku Miss, magtatampo talaga si sir sa'yo niyan. Hahahaha."

"Sorry pero di ko talaga alam yung mga ganyan. Pero sige lang, atleast alam ko na ngayon. Thank you Nik." Elle smiled.

"Ayses. Maiwan na kita miss oy. Mag isip ka na diyan ng surprise mo para kay sir." Anikka giggles as she gestured to go out. Elle just laugh at her.

"Hahahaha, sira ka talaga Anikka!"

Elle then arrange Sandro's schedule and somehow find a time of where she can insert her plan to celebrate Sandro's upcoming birthday with a simple surprise.
