Chapter 27: Break Plans

*Outside in a plain field*

Ash: "So why are we here again?"

Leaf: "Oh I just wanted to get in a battle, as I'm in the best school in the world. So anyone down for a battle? Gary?"

Gary waves his hand

Gary: "I'll skip. I'm still down after my defeat from Ash."

Leaf turns to Ash.

Leaf: "Mr. Kalos Champion?"

Ash shakes his head

Ash: "Eh. Not in the mood. Besides on my break back I'll be fighting nonstop with booked fights for a shot of winning the Kalos Champion title, if they beat the Elite Four."

Leaf: "Dawn? May?"

Dawn puts her hands up in surrender

Dawn: "I'm not really a fighter. I'm just a Pokemon performer."

May: "I would, but I wanna watch more than compete right now. We just finished the tournament, but I didn't get time to see any of the other competitors compete. Sorry!"

Leaf pouts, before looking down in sadness. Ash walks over, before patting her head.

Ash: "It's okay. It'll all be okay Leaf."

Leaf: "This is totally unfair! I came back for a battle and no one even wants to try?!"

Paul: "I will."

Leaf: "Who are you?"

Gary: "Ah. Rank 3rd. Paul Shinji."

Leaf: "Interesting."

Paul looks over at Dawn, before the two give each other a nod.

Paul: "So what do you say champ?"

Leaf: "Sure! Try to not lose too quickly though."

Paul: "I don't plan to."

The two make their way to both sides, as Gary sits down, leaning back, before shooing his hand, letting Ash know to regulate the battle. Ash rolls his eyes, before walking towards the middle, as May and Dawn take their seats as well.

Ash: "How many Pokemon each?"

Leaf: "I'm down for anything."

Paul: "We'll keep it short and simple, so two pokemon each."

Leaf nods.

Ash: "Alright. This will be a 2v2 Pokemon battle. Switches are allowed. I will announce when a Pokemon has fainted. Trainers send out your first Pokemon!"

Paul: "Torterra let's go!"

Leaf: "Let's do it! Ditto!"

Both trainers send out their Pokemon, as Torterra stands over Ditto.

Leaf: "Ditto tranform!"

Ditto transforms to a Torterra, as both face off.

Paul: "Torterra earthquake!"

Leaf: "Ditto Protect!"

Ditto uses protect, successfully nullifying the Earthquake.

Leaf: "Ditto Woodhammer!"

Paul: "Torterra Superpower!"

Both moves collide, sending both pokemon slightly back.

Leaf: "Ditto Crunch!"

Paul: "Torterra wait for it!"

Ditto moves in quickly, despite being a Torterra, as Paul waits.

Paul: "Now! Giga Impact!"
