Luna's POV

"Profession: Professional dancer--"

"Ehhh," Kingston said stopping Gen from continuing. He pointed a chopstick at me. "Some dudes might think she's an exotic dancer. As in stripper."

I couldn't hold the laugh that escaped me and Gen groaned. "Fine. I'll say, ballet dancer."

Normally, I wouldn't care about Tinder night. It was a silly game that was supposed to be fun. Except I couldn't focus.

Aside from the alcohol inhibiting my general focus, I could feel Jax's presence. He was trying to get my attention and it took everything not to give it to him.

We were like magnetic forces, always pulling towards each other. Repelling away from him was a mental workout.

"Likes spending time with her friends, loves watching plays and visiting museums, watches horror movies too often, spends a copious amount of time at farmer's markets." Scarlet read off everything in my bio like a grocery list.

"I do not spend a copious amount of time at the farmer's market," I defended.

"Yes, you do," Ozzie said standing up. "I've been with you once and only once for that exact reason." He placed his empty bowl of food on the ground and made Zhu stand up from the chair. Zhu stood and he sat down on the small chair, grabbing onto her hips so that she could sit down on top of him. Her face wasn't red like it normally was whenever he showed PDA.

"You guys are gross," Gen said, looking at them with a scrunched-up nose. "It's adorable."

Carmen snorted and grabbed the tablet from Scarlet. "What are your turn-offs in men?"

I grabbed my wine glass again, finally stealing a glance at Jax, who sat down on the floor beside the bed. "When guys don't keep their promises."

His eyes searched my face and I looked away, feeling exposed under his stare.

"Geminis," Kingston said as a matter of factly. "They're problematic in general."

"People who don't believe in aliens," Ozzie added, eating some of Zhu's food.

"A bad temper," Scarlet said unblinkingly.

"A heavy drinker," Gen said to Carmen, who was typing everything down.

"Guys who don't read," Zhu said with an upturned lip. "...like ever."

Scarlet gave Ozzie a doubtful look and smiled. "Ozzie, you read?"

He furrowed his eyebrows at her with feign offense, "Hey, manga and comic books count." Looking up at Zhu, he turned his head to the side. "Right?"

Zhu smiled and ran a hand through his black curls. "It does for you."

Gen fake gagged and Kingston gripped his chest, pretending to have chest pains.

I giggled, taking another sip of my wine.

"Jax," Carmen said looking up from the tablet. "You have anything to add for Luna?" I knew what she was doing and I honestly was curious myself.

I looked at him through my peripheral. He shrugged, his jaw ticking.

I was annoyed at the fact I found that attractive. A mundane bodily action like ticing one's jaw made me all hot and bothered. Ughhhh....I was clearly sick in the head.

"Someone who can't handle serious problems," He said with a tone that held so much meaning. "Real-life shit."

Translation: epilepsy.
