A/N: Hey readers! The song for this chapter is super important for a specific scene. I would HIGHLY recommend listening to it once it comes up later. It's called You and I by Léon. Really hope you love this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. ☺️

Luna's POV

Why had I agreed to this again?

The alleyway smelled like liquor and urine and I was pretty sure my nose was burning. I told Carmen that I needed a minute outside before I went in. She insisted on waiting but I told her to go without me.

To be honest I was scared.

I hadn't been to a club in a long time and I didn't know if the lights would trigger my last final epilepsy. Having a seizure was the last thing I needed right now. Normally, I wasn't photosensitive, but my epilepsy was different now and I didn't know.

I didn't tell Carmen because then she'd worry and take me home. She was really excited about tonight and I didn't want to ruin it for her. And if I didn't come inside in the next minute, she'd come looking for me.

Taking a deep breath, I pushed my black sunglasses up my nose. They were really good a blocking out most light. Hopefully, no one would give me weird looks.

I walked down the stairs and through the entryway. The music was almost deafening. And it didn't take long for me to find Carmen dancing with Kingston and Zhu with Ozzie.

My mouth fell open as I took it all in. Ozzie was sitting down in the corner, talking in Zhu's ear while she was sitting on his lap. Oh my gosh.

Well, that was fast. What the hell did I miss?

Pushing my nerves aside, I walked up to the bar and sat down on a stool. Before I could even ask for a drink, the bartender placed a drink in front of me.

It was a reddish-pink with a lime attached. I didn't drink much besides wine but I recognized a cosmo anywhere. I also remembered that it had vodka in it. Not my favorite.

"Umm, sorry there must be must some mistake," I smiled politely at him. "I didn't order anything."

The man was bald and looked about 30, wearing an impish grin. "Sweetheart, someone else did." He walked off as though that was explanation enough. I stared at the drink, not sure of what to do.

What if it was drugged or something? Maybe I was being dramatic but Maya had warned me about how she had been roofied in college by a drink. It made me a bit more attentive.

I looked around the bar and didn't see anyone looking in my general direction. I noticed Gen and Scarlet taking shots and laughing with one another. Jax's figure caught my attention. He was wearing a black jacket and jeans. I noticed his head bobbing to the beat of the music playing while he took a sip from the drink in his hand.

I was about to call him over when a shadowy figure sat down in front of me, blocking my view. My eyes were still adjusting to the darkness of the sunglasses, so it took me a second to see his face clearly.

Dark-brown eyes and a flirty smile greeted me. He was handsome, I wasn't blind. Strong cheekbones, a nice smile, dark hair, and a strong build. He looked like some kind of Hercules. The guy had to have been like 6'3 or 4.

He was a giant.

I held the stem of the glass and smiled. "I'm guessing this is from you."

He didn't seem creepy but my guard was still up.

"Nico," his voice was deep and warm. Holding his hand out, I shook it carefully.

"Moon," I introduced myself. I wasn't technically lying because the translation it's what my name meant, but I didn't know him. The less he knew about me the better.
