"Bitch!" Ki said as she, Sam, and Kat came into the room. "Surprise." I said quietly as Colby handed me my glass of water.
"I can't believe these girls are already so chaotic." Sam said as I nodded, breathing through another contraction.
"Wooooah. Does this machine show you when you have contraction?" Kat asked as I nodded. "Yep." I said then huffed out a breath as the pain subsided.
"Wow, that's a lot of contractions." Ki said as I nodded. "You're such badass dude." Sam said as they call for settled into the room.
"Trying." I mumbled then leaned back into my pillows. "Are we close to meeting the girls?" Kat asked as I shook my head.
"She's only three centimeters so it's gonna be a while." Colby explained as I closed my eyes.
"Are you tired?" Colby asked as I nodded. "Yeah, I won't be able to sleep though." I mumbled as he bent down and kissed my head. "Are you getting an epidural?" Sam asked as I shook my head.
"I wanna try it all natural." I mumbled as Ki snorted. "Stubborn bitch, you're gonna feel your coochie rip then you'll regret that." She said as I cracked my eyes opened and grinned at her. "Glad you have faith in me." I mumbled then closed my eyes again.
I fought off sleep for the next couple hours. Amy would come in and check on periodically but I was still barely moving along.
"Okay, I'm gonna give you some Pitocin so we can speed this along. Did you want that epidural yet?" Amy asked as I shook my head. "No." I mumbled then yawned.
"Okay, sweetie. You're doing great." She said as I smiled slightly. "Thank you." I said I said as she patted my leg then left the room.
"Are you hungry? Did you want to eat something?" Colby asked as I shook my head.
"Hurts too much to eat." I mumbled as Ki came over and took my hand. "Babes, I know your trying to be a badass bitch but I think an epidural will help you." She said as I frowned.
"I just want to see how far I can go." I said with a sigh as I turned to my side, trying to relieve the pain in my lower belly.
"I think she can do it." Sam said with a grin. "Yeah, I mean the girl has been shot in the chest. This is gonna be nothing." Kat said with a reassuring smile.
"Thanks guys." I said then tensed up as another contraction rippled through my body. "Shhh. Breathe, V. You're doing so good." Colby encouraged as he took my hand, letting me squeeze it.
We sat around for a while before Sam and Kat went to go get food for everyone. There was no way in hell I was eating but I wasn't going deprive my friends of food.
"Fuck!" I hissed as tears streamed down my cheeks. My contractions were getting so bad that I felt sick to my stomach. "Bucket." I mumbled as Colby frowned. "Baby.." He whispered as I threw up in the bucket he was offering me.
"I'm fine." I whispered then wiped the back of my hand against my mouth.
I knew I probably needed to get the epidural soon but I was fighting it for as long as I could.
"Baby, I think you should get it." Colby said quietly as he brushed my hair from my sweaty forehead. "I'm fine." I grumbled as he sighed. "Please..." He begged as I snapped my head to look at him. "I said I'm fine." I growled then turned away from him.
"He's just worried about you, V. You look like you're in so much pain" Ki said as I groaned. "I. said. I'm. fine!" I said then pulled the covers over my head.
I felt bad that I was being snappy with them but I was in so much pain I couldn't control my emotions. I could feel the girls moving in my belly though which gave me some comfort.
