I sat in the dressing room for a minute, fidgeting with my necklaces. "I hope you're here with me." I whispered to myself and looked up at the ceiling.

Shelly came back a few minutes later, holding a bunch of dresses in her arms. I watched as she put the dresses on the racks. They were all different styles and some were different shades of white.

"Which one are you thinking of doing first?" She asked and gestured to the dresses. "Let's try this one." I said and pointed to the lace dress in front of me.

"Good choice." She said and pulled it off the rack. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest as I stood up and got undressed.

"Tell me about your husband to be." Shelly said as I stepped into the dress. "He's the sweetest person I've ever met." I said with a small smile. "We kinda just stumbled upon eachother and have been in love ever since." I said as my warmed at the thought of Colby.

"Love really is amazing." She said dreamily as she finished lacing the dress. "Ready?" She asked and put her hands on my shoulders. "Ready." I said quietly then turned to the mirror.

I felt my heart race as I looked at myself in the white gown. It was a tulle dress with thick straps and a v neck.

It was beautiful.

"What do you think?" Shelly asked as I swallowed the lump in my throat. "It's beautiful." I said and brought my hand to my necklace. "Wanna show your friends?" She asked as I nodded.

She led me to the room where everyone was, causing the butterflies to flutter in my chest.

"Oh my god, you look GORGEOUS." Ki said causing everyone to look at me. "Oh my god!" Kat squealed happily as I stood in front of them. "You look stunning, sweetheart." Colby's mom said with a smile. "Thank you." I said and looked down at the dress.

"What do you think, V?" Devyn asked quietly. "I like it, but I don't think it's the one." I said with a sigh. "That's okay, let's try a different one on." Shelly said with a smile then led me back to the room.

We repeated this process a couple of times but none of the dresses felt like mine. I was starting to get a little flustered because nothing felt right.

"Don't get discouraged, there's a dress out there for you." Shelly said as she hung up the last dress. "Shelly." Someone said as they knocked on the door. "What's up?" Shelly asked the brunette who was peaking her head into the room.

"I found it." She said and held out a dress. "Oh! Violet, I think you're gonna like this one." Shelly said with a smile and grabbed the dress. "Thank you, Jess." She said then turned to me and fluffed the dress on the ground so I could step into it.

Shelly laced the dress up then turned me to face the mirror. As soon as she did this my eyes started watering.

The dress had a sweetheart neckline that had sleeves that rested on my arms rather than my shoulders. It sinched at the hip slightly then puffed out ever so slightly. On the top layers of the tulle was a pattern of leaves that cascaded down the bodice and to the top of the skirt.

I was in love with it.

"Wanna show everyone?" Shelly asked as I nodded. "Let's go." She said then led me out of the room. When I walked back to where the girls were they were silent, looking at me with smiles on their faces.

"This is the one." Colby's mom said as I nodded. "How'd you know?" I asked as she stood up and took my face in her hands. "I can see it in your eyes." She said quietly as tears trickled down my cheeks.
