The flight back to LA was excruciatingly long considering I so desperately wanted to be back home with the girls.

As soon as the flight landed I pulled my phone out and called Colby's mom, needing to know what was going on.

"Hi, darling." Colby's mom answered after a couple rings. "Hi, we just landed. How are the girls doing?" I asked as Colby took my free hand, holding it gently.

"Luna is doing great. Nova still has a fever but she's been a trooper." Colby's mom said as I nodded.

"Okay, we're going to be home in hopefully an hour. LA traffic is horrible." I said quietly with a sigh. "Just get here when you can. They're both sleeping like angels." She said as I nodded.

"I'll keep you updated." I said then looked at Colby. He smiled softly at me, squeezing my hand. "Alright, sweetie. Get here safely." She said then hung up the phone.

"Nova bear still has a fever." I said quietly as Colby kissed my head. "Is Luna sick too?" He asked as I shook my head. "No, she's still doing okay. I just can't wait to hold them." I said as he nodded.

"I know, love." He said as we pulled up to the terminal. When we got off the plane we made our way to the parking lot.

"If you guys want to go straight to your house, Kat and I can take an Uber back to our place." Sam said as we walked.

"Don't be silly. We'll drop you off." Colby said as I nodded. "Nobody is taking another Uber ever again." I said as Kat giggled. "Yeah, I second that. No more Uber." She said as we got to the car.

We all packed the car up then got in so we could go home. I was feeling really anxious about seeing the girls which was becoming a common theme. I hated that the past two times we left the girls one of them got sick.

It made me feel so guilty.

I silently looked out the window as we drove to Sam and Kat's place. I knew that Colby was going to get me to try and talk about it once they were gone but I honestly was just sad. There was nothing he could do about it.

When we got to Sam and Kat's house they got out of the car. "Keep us updated on the girls." Kat said as I nodded. "Will do. Love you guys!" I said as Sam ruffled my hair.

"I'll see you later, V." He said as I smiled. "See you." I said as he closed the door, leaving Colby and I alone.

"Are we going to talk about how quiet you're being?" Colby asked as he started driving us to our place. "No." I said then bundled my sleeves in my hands.

"V." He said then reached over to try and take one of my hands. "Both hands on the wheel." I said as he sighed and brought his hand back to the steering wheel.

"I just want to help you, V." Colby said quietly as I nodded. "I know. There's nothing you can really do right now though." I said quietly as I looked out the window.

"I know you're feeling guilty but we aren't going to be leaving them again any time soon." He said as I sighed.

"I'm not but when are you going to leave again?" I asked and looked over at him. "What do you mean?" He asked as I twisted my ring.

"It's only going to be a matter of time before you go on another trip." I said quietly as my heart ached in my chest.

"Violet, you know I can't control that." Colby said as I nodded. "I know, but it's just hard to handle." I said as he frowned.

"Sam and I won't go out of town for a while. We can take a break if you want." He said as I huffed out a breath.

"Don't make me the bad guy, dude." I said as he rolled his eyes. "I'm not. I just want you to be happy, and I want you to be comfortable." He said as he pulled into the driveway.

"It's your career, Colby. I can't hold you back, especially when someone else is counting on you." I said as he parked the car and looked up at me.

"It's not holding me back, V. Sam and I have taken breaks from YouTube before. If taking a break will ease your mind for a little while then I'll be happy to take a break." He said as I nodded.

"We can talk about it later." I said then opened my door. I grabbed my bag then quickly made my way inside. When I got in there I could hear Luna crying and Colby's dad trying to soothe her from the living room.

"Oh, I know honey....oh! Look! It's mommy!" He said and pointed at me as I dropped my bag on the floor and rushed over to them. Luna looked at me with dewey eyes as I held my arms out to her.

"Why are you fussing for grandpa?" I asked as Colby's dad laid Luna in my arms. "Shh, little bug." I whispered and pulled her into my chest as she calmed down. "Look Nova, it's mommy!" Colby's mom said as she walked into the room with Nova.

"Where's Colby?" Colby's dad asked as the front door opened. "There he is." I said quietly as Luna settled down in my arms. I walked over to Colby's mom so I could caress Nova's cheek gently. "Hey, guys. How are they doing?" Colby asked as he walked in.

"They're both doing better, this little one has been fussing but she seems to be doing better now." Colby's mom said as she caressed Luna's cheek with her fingers while Colby took Nova from her.

"She probably missed her mommy." Colby said and looked up at me as Luna fell asleep in my arms. "I missed her." I said quietly then kissed Luna's head. "And I missed my little Nova bear too." I said as Colby smiled at me.

"Are you guys hungry?" Colby's dad asked as I nodded. "I am." I said and looked over at Colby. "Yeah, I'm hungry. What did you guys want? I'll buy because you guys watched the girls." Colby said as we walked over to the couches.

I felt my heart crack in my chest as Nova fussed in Colby's arms, frowning from how sick she was probably feeling.

"When was the last time you guys fed them?" I asked and reached over to put my hand on Nova's belly. "Probably 20 minutes ago." Colby's mom said as I nodded.

"Okay." I said then looked down at Luna. She was sleeping in my arms with her hand clenched around the neckline of my shirt.

I could feel my heart swelling in my chest at the sight of her cute little face and button nose.

I was never going to leave them again.

We ended up ordering dinner and spending the night just relaxing. Colby's parents were leaving in the morning so we wanted to spend as much time with them as we could since we didn't know when we would see them again.

When it was time to bring the girls up to bed, Colby and I brought them upstairs.

"How's her temperature?" Colby asked as I rocked Nova in my arms. "She's warm." I said quietly as I smoothed her hair down. "Shit...maybe we should give her some medicine." Colby said as I shook my head.

"Not while she's sleeping. When she wakes up we can." I said then laid her gently in her crib. "You're such a good mom, you know that?" Colby asked as I nodded.

"I try my best." I said then made sure the baby monitor was pointed towards her. "I'm gonna talk to Sam tomorrow about taking a break. I think we're gonna need to slow down with the videos a little bit. I don't want to miss anything." Colby said as I sighed.

"It's up to you, Colby. It makes me sad that you may not be here for a couple days at a time but whatever you need to do, I'll support." I said as he laid Luna down in her crib.

"You're the best...I don't deserve you." Colby said as he put his hands on my waist. "You're mushy." I said with a giggle as I wrapped my arms around his neck so I could hold him close.

"I just love you." He said as I nodded. "I love you too." I whispered then rested my head on his chest.

It made me sad that Colby's career pulled him away from me sometimes but I knew I wouldn't be able to handle another trip for a long time.

I wanted him to be happy doing what he loves so I was going to support him.

I would always support him even if it hurt my heart.
