The past few days had been calm, with meetings every night and the days being spent simply walking along Paris or being with family and friends. Annette had spent quite a lot of time with Nicolette and her Aunt Chantal, simply going out to tea and the nights after meetings had been spent at Enjolras's place, with the girl helping to care for Patria, the cat.

Annette had sensed that something had changed with the meetings, they were more serious than usual, more focused, and with word of revolution being heard everywhere she went, the girl suspected that the time was near.

They were currently all seated at the tables of the Musain, with Annette and Nicolette both standing and leaning against the walls, the girls watched as the Amis discussed a rally for the upcoming day, exciting Annette at the though of going to one.

"-the time is near" she heard Enjolras speak slowly "and now, more than ever we will need to rally the people, convince them to fight"

"Well we've done about ten rallies by now" Courfeyrac spoke from the corner of the room "where do we suggest we do the next one?"

"Outside General Lamarque's house" Marius muttered from the corner, all eyes turning to him "he speaks for the people, if we went there, they would follow"

"It's a satisfactory idea Marius" Enjolras replied, and Annette could tell he was upset that Marius had come up with that before he had even had a chance to speak, but nonetheless, it really was a good idea "then its settled, we meet tomorrow afternoon outside General Lamarque's house"

Soon after that, everyone began to talk amongst themselves, chattering and laughing as wine began to be consumed, more specifically by Grantaire as he laughed along with Joly about something.

Annette glanced to her side to see that Alexandre was walking her way, looking completely focused with his eyebrows pulled together, making Annette wonder what could possibly be running around his head.

"I wish for you to stay at the house tomorrow Annette" he spoke quietly, wincing when he saw how angry his sister grew in mere seconds.

"Excuse me?" she exclaimed, seeing as a few heads turned in her direction "I will do no such thing!"

"Will you just listen?" Alexandre told her impatiently, making Annette nod her head at him with a scowl "someone has to keep Aunt Chantal distracted, she told me that she plans on going out to town tomorrow and you have to keep her from going near the rally"
