ANNETTE lives a sheltered and posh life in Montpellier with her aunt Chantal, a strong and vibrant woman. Ever since her parents died when she was 15 she has been living only as a possession of the aristocratic society of France.
Despite her knowledge that the life she had was one envied by many, Annette wants to be free to explore the world and live her life to the fullest. She never understood the life of a high class person and never wished to be tied down as a trophy wife to an arrogant and selfish man and live a sheltered life forever.
She wished for adventures like she reads about in all the books that are located in the library of her aunts house.
When her brother Alexandre, a law student in Paris invites her to live with him, her life changes as she leaps into the exiting and fulfilling life of Paris, a city full of love, lights and glamour. However when she meets a group of young revolutionaries she finds exactly the adventure she had been yearning for her entire life.
ENJOLRAS has one goal, to achieve freedom and rebellion. Taking inspiration from the fearless and impactful rebels that took part in the French Revolution, he dedicates all his time to making a change, wanting to do something impactful with his life, something that changes lives.
Whenever he walked the streets of Paris and sees all the suffering and hunger around him, a fire burned within him, further motivating him to take action. When he put together a band of other men his age that had the same ideas as him, Enjolras though to himself that this was it, that nothing could distract him from him mission.
But when he meets a certain starry eyes girl with big ideas and a kind heart, his world is suddenly changed as she begins to break down the walls that he had tried so hard to build. A battle instantly takes place as he tries to fight between love and freedom, finding along the way that maybe, he could have both.
