Episode 56

Demi wondered out the kitchen a while later James following not too far away but stayed in the doorway rather than sitting back down. Demi took Joe's hand for comfort squeezing it gently, she thought her talk went well, she didn't understand why James would say no when he had no reason to. The twins weren't harmed, they were well looked after by one of their parents at all times. There was no reason for them to be taken away.

"I think that everything is okay here, I have no problems with Chiron and Kaia to stay here," He spoke with a smile on his face as Joe and Demi shared a hug. "I'll be down in a couple of weeks just to make sure that everything is running smoothly but other than that I'll be off."

"I'll show you out." Joe let go of Demi's hand getting up wondering out the room with James. Demi was about to get up when a voice stopped her.

"Back away from Joe, I was about to make my move." She turned her head to see Beth glaring at her but she couldn't help but laugh lifting Cai up in her arms when he wondered over.

"Joe would never go for someone like you, you're like ten years older than him!" Demi exclaimed "Nice try love but Joe picked me and it's going well so I'm not doing anything that you tell me." Demi smoothed out Cai's hair as she spoke but couldn't help but laugh again when Beth got up wondering out the house without saying another word. It amused her that anyone would tell her to 'back away' from her boyfriend. Joe entered the living room again after seeing James and Beth out not that he spoke to Beth because she just wondered off without saying a word to him.

"What's wrong with Beth?" He inquired.

"Things were said, feelings were hurt. She'll get over it." Demi shrugged her shoulders setting Cai back on the ground watching him run off again towards his sister so they could continue to paint together, they had their own sheets but have done some together.

"Demi." Joe warned as he sat back down next to her but she couldn't help but laugh again.

"You have an admirer, I was told to back off because she was about to make a move on you." Demi revealed laughing again at his face.

"I don't mind older women but not that drastic." They laughed together this time Demi smiling when he wrapped his arm around her bringing her into his side.

"Technically I'm older than you, I was born first." Demi teased kissing his cheek.

"Daddy are us staying here?" Kaia questioned her father as he helped her fasten up her sandals again, it was still warm outside but they weren't going to the beach. They were going to the mall so they could pick some paint up for the twin's bedroom, now they were staying here they could paint their room and style it how they liked. Joe's apartment has three bed rooms and they the biggest. It wasn't massive but big enough for them.

"Yes and now we can paint your and Cai's bedroom." Joe stated kissing her head gently.

"Can it be pink?" Kaia questioned again.

"No!" Cai demanded Joe and Demi laughing at him.

"We'll find a colour that you both want alright?" Demi suggested both of them laughing Demi helping Cai get off the couch Joe and Demi slipping their shoes on before they begun to make their way downstairs and to the car. The parents helped Cai and Kaia strap in before they got into the front themselves. Joe pulled out of the parking made just for owners of the flats getting onto the main road. He didn't have a lot of money to spend on their bedroom but it would be enough for them to have a treat. He got paid well for his job.

"Can us see Granny?" Cai questioned Joe smiling.

"Sure we'll make sure we go over for visiting hours." Joe answered looking at his son through the middle mirror. He knew his mother enjoyed seeing her Grandchildren and tried to take them over as much as he could. During the week was hard with work but they tried their best.
