Lexi's POV
HR: good morning! i had a really nice time last night. i was wondering if you'd like to go to the drive in tonight.
I woke up to that text and my stomach literally started doing front flips.
AT: hey, so did i. i would absolutely love to, just have to ask my moms and i'll let you know :)
I go downstairs and start making a parfait.
"You're happy," Toni says
"I am," I say grabbing more fruit
"So I'm guessing last night went well?"
"Very well, except for one thing,"
"What?"
"Tony, Antonio, and Louis," I sigh "they embarrassed me,"
"Awe you're talking about me," TJ says coming in
"What did you do?" mom asks him
"Stepped in right in time before they started making out in Pops,"
"That's my boy," she says high fiing him
"Don't encourage, please,"
Cheryl comes in and i laugh
"My favourite mother, finally," I say "tell them to stop,"
"What are they doing?"
"Moms praising TJ for trying to ruin my date,"
"Tony Reginald,"
"It was Aj's idea," he defends
"Of course it was," She sighs "Tones, please don't,"
"Only for you,"
They laugh and I sit next to Toni.
"So, spill. How'd it go besides the hooligans?" Cheryl says hugging Toni from behind "was it fun?"
"One of the best nights I've ever had," I admit "he's an amazing guy,"
"Did you guys kiss?" TJ teases
I blush and eat some of my yogurt.
"YOU DID?" Cheryl says happily
"We did," I say a little embarrassed
They stop asking questions and I finish breakfast.
"Moms, Hudson asked if I wanted to go to the drive in tonight," I say "am I allowed to go?"
"Of course Lexi," Toni says
"Thank you,"
"LEXI!!" KC and Mia say running in
"Hey girls,"
"How was your date?" KC asks
"It was good," I laugh "Hudson is a great guy,"
"Do you have a second date?"
"Tonight,"
"Why are you two so interested?" Cheryl laughs
"Because we like Hudson, he's really nice," Mia laughs "and Lexi really likes him,"
"Mia, just because your smart doesn't mean you know everything," I laugh
"They call me a child prodigy for a reason Alexis,"
We all laugh and we hang out as a family until I start getting ready for my date.
I don't put any makeup on, but i put nice leggings and my favorite basketball sweater on.
I go downstairs just as he knocks on the door.
"Hey," I smile
"Hey,"
"Come in, I just need to find my bag,"
He nods and i quickly run to the top of the stairs where I dropped it last night.
"Moms, I'm leaving," I yell
"Have fun Lex," Cheryl yells
i grab his hand and smile
"I'm all set,"
He has a pick up truck instead of his car.
"Truck?"
"It's my dads,"
"It's nice,"
"Watch your step," He says opening my door
"Thank you,"
I get in and then he gets in his side
We talk and get a really good spot for the drive in.
We get out and start setting up the tailgate.
"Hey, actually I wanted to tell you about something," I say playing with his hands
"Anything,"
"Before you transferred here, I was um... sexually assaulted by one of the football guys,"
He sits up shocked.
"What?"
"It was during a lunch hour that I was trying to spend working out, he lured me behind the bleachers and.. assaulted me," I say looking at my hands
He hugs me and kisses the side of my head.
"I am so sorry that happened to you Lex," he says "I really don't know what else to say other than that, but I'm sorry, and I won't let anyone hurt you ever again okay?"
"Okay,"
I kiss him and smile against his lips
"I just knew it's a big conversation piece at school and wanted you to hear it from me," I say "Wanna go get snacks?"
He nods and takes my hand
"You look very cute today," he says kissing my temple "I don't think I said that,"
"Thank you, so do you,"
We get up to the front and get our food and stuff.
He goes to grab his card and I stop him.
"You got dinner yesterday," I say "I got this one,"
"Okay,"
We go back to the truck and lay in the back.
"Am I okay?" I ask cuddling into him
"Of course you're okay," he laughs "you're very warm,"
I laugh and we watch the first movie.
"Staying for the second?" He asks
I nod and kiss him
"Yes, I just need to text my mom,"
AT: hey mom, we're going to stay for the second movie, I'll wake you up when I get home love ya!
MOM: no problem sweetie, glad you're having fun.
"So, I wanted to ask you a question," he says
"What's the question?" I laugh sitting up to face him
"Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asks hopefully
I smile and kiss him.
"I'm guessing that's a yes,"
"It is a yes,"
He smiles and I lay back on top of him.
"You were saying your girlfriend moved away a couple months ago, what was her name?"
"Camilla," I smile "the more I think back about our relationship though.. the more I know we weren't good for each other. I think she was using me for popularity, and shock factor,"
"Why would you think that?"
"Just some of the things she'd say or do, kinda manipulative you know?" I sigh "it's just how she was, but our personalities would've clashed at some point,"
"It's kinda the same with me and Brianna," he says "but it was more like one day she liked me and the next I couldn't do anything right, and had to constantly apologize you know? She'd pick fights on the middle of the school and make me look like the bad guy and then isolate me from all my friends,"
"Oh my god," I say sitting up again "that's like hardcore emotional abuse,"
"It wasn't anything dramatic like that,"
"No no, Hudson. That's abusive, 100% my moms went through so much in high school they've told me different things that lead to worse parts of abuse and that's an emotionally abusive person and I am so sorry you went through that,"
"Don't worry about me Topaz,"
"I'm never going to do any of that okay? I want you to absolutely know that this will be different,"
"I know it will, because you are special Lexi,"
I press a long kiss to his cheek and turn around to watch the movie.
That girl is such a bitch. Who would do that to a guy this perfect.
He drives me home and then walks me up to my door.
"You know, Hudson," TJ says from the porch swing
"Holy fuck Tony, you scared the hell out of me,"
"I couldn't sleep," he says simply "Hudson you know I'm Hawaiian too?"
"He is not, he was born in Hawaii during a football nationals,"
"I am too Lexi, I'm Hawaiian and I think is Hawaiian guys have a code, y'know?"
"Actually we do have a code," Hudson says, feeding into my brothers insanity
"And what is your code?"
"That if we date the other person's sister that we won't break there heart- or they get to beat the hell out of you," Hudson says putting his hand out to shake TJ's "man I love that you're protective of your sister, and I'm not going to hurt her okay? She was to perfect for me to do that,"
"I had a lot of nasty threats, but that sounds good to me," TJ says shaking his hand
"TJ, now that you're done with your ominous threats, get the hell inside before moms kick you out of the house permanently,"
He laughs and goes inside.
"I had a great time," he says
"So did I," I smile "and thank you for playing TJ's little game, he worries about me,"
"It was fine Lex, just wanna make sure your family is cool with me,"
"They are,"
"I'll see you Monday?"
"Of course, text me when you get home though,"
"I will,"
I kiss his cheek and then go inside.

I have a boyfriend, and he's... amazing.
