Cheryl's POV
We just landed in Dallas and it's so nice here. Tones went all out in everything so we have an amazing hotel and a private driver.
"Babe this is amazing,"
"Only the best for my favourite people in the world," she says kissing me
"You're funny,"
"Robbie tell the boys we're heading to the field in an hour and a half please,"
"Will do, I'm going to hang with Trey,"
Toni nods and we decide to get our room too.
"Mama I'm really tired," Lexi says
"Baby you wanna go get the key?" She asks picking Lexi up
"Sure,"
I register and get our room keys
I walk back over and Toni's bouncing Lexi.
"Is she sleeping?" I laugh
"Yes She is," Toni says
"And Tony?"
"Does he ever sleep?" She asks motioning to Tony laughing at a book in the stroller
We go upstairs and she tucks Lexi into bed
"I can get Tony Junior to nap if you wanna relax," I say
"Oh no you lay down in our room baby, I got it," she says "I know youre tired babe,"
"You're a goddess Toni Topaz," I whisper kissing her cheek
"I'll be in in a second," she says
I nod and go climb into our bed.
She walk in as I start drifting off
"He's already down,"
"Mhm," she whispers "go to sleep baby,"
She draws on my back as I start to doze off
She's writing something.
It's..
"What are you sorry for love?"
"Pardon?"
"Why are you writing sorry,"
"I'm not baby, go back to sleep,"
"Okay," I whisper
She kisses the back of my head and puts her hand on the small baby bump

I wake up to Tones kissing the side of my head
"Baby I gotta head out but if your still tired, you don't have to come," she says
"I'll come, can you give me 5 minutes?"
"Of course babe, I'll get the kids ready,"
She leaves and I go get changed.
I grab her black USA football sweater and my maroon leggings and quickly curl my hair
"Awe baby you look amazing," Tones says as I walk in
"Thank you Tones," I smile "are these two ready?"
"Lexi won't put on her shoes," she sighs
"I thought I was staying here,"
"No buggy you're coming to watch football,"
"Fine," she sighs undoing her Velcro
"Wow that was attitude," I laugh
"That attitude was all you," Toni laughs
I roll my eyes and she grabs my hips.
"I can't wait to go to Cali," she mumbles kissing me
"I'm excited too," I laugh
"Good,"
She kisses me and I smile against her lips and bring my hands to her face
"What was that for?" I laugh
"I love you too,"
"Mama do you wuv me too?" Tony junior asks pulling on Toni's hand
"Wanna know a secret?" Toni asks bending down
Tony nods
"I think I love you and your sister more than I love Mommy," she says winking at me
"I knew it!" He says
"Cmon monster, we gotta get moving," she says picking him up
I pick Lexi up and we head down to the bus, where all the boys already are.
"Topaz family late as usual," Reggie says
"Oh be quiet," Toni says through the laughter "fashionably late is our thing,"
She sits Tony down in the front row and Lexi sits beside him
"You're sitting with me right?" Toni asks
"If you want me to,"
"Of course I do," she says
"Just sit down Blossom, we play tonight," RJ says
"You guys suck," I laugh sitting beside Toni
Toni plays with my rings and I put my head on her shoulder
"I wanna get a new tattoo," she says
"Of What babes?"
"I wanna get the kids names and birthdays on my wrist, and your name and our wedding day on my hip,"
"I told you, you're not getting my name,"
"That's when we were dumb teenagers Cher, when we didn't have 3 kids and one on the way," she says "I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you,"
I kiss her and put my head back on her shoulder
"I like the idea of the kids names, I still don't like my name. It's just not really our vibe Tones, we aren't dumb people, we aren't people that need something like that to prove our love for one another," I sigh "I love you and I know you love me,"
"Okay, I won't get it then,"
We get there and get out of the bus.
"Baby I have press, I'll see you later okay?" She asks kissing me
"Of course TT,"
Tony Junior starts wailing and crying trying to go with Toni.
"Here buddy, you wanna come with Mama?" Toni asks
"Yes pwease,"
She picks him up and calms him down
"I'll come find you before the game,"
"Okay," I say kissing her cheek
Toni's POV
I walk into the press area and bounce Tony
"Baby we're going to be really good okay? Mama has to answer some questions,"
"Okay Mama,"
"Thank you Baby,"
I walk around a do a few interviews.
"And who is this?" The NY Times reporter asks
"This is my son, Tony,"
"How old is he now?"
"He's almost 2, Right Baby?" I ask nudging Tony
"Two in Califona," he says holding up two fingers
"He's turning two on our family trip to California after Nationals,"
"Do you feel able enough to win the tournament again this year?"
"You know I went back to back in my two years and it was amazing, but it's one of the hardest things to do in sports so I think we have the tools- execution is what it's going to come down to,"
She thanks me and walks away.
"Topaz you wanna come to sportscentre?" Reggie yells
"Ya sure," I yell back
I walk over and Tony reaches for Reggie
"Hey little man," reggie says "what are you doing?"
"I want stay with Mama,"
"Someone is having separation anxiety," I say kissing his head
"Is he coming on with us?"
"Oh I don't know, I'll find someone to watch him,"
"It's alright T, just bring him,"
"Okay," I say
They mic me up and Tony tries to touch it
"Oh baby please don't touch that," I say
"What it?"
"It's a microphone so the cameras can hear me. This interview is on TV so you have to be really good okay baby?"
"Okay Mama,"
"Thanks monster, lets go,"
We go sit on the chairs and Tony squirms and turns around in my arms.
"What's wrong Tony?" I ask
"I don't like the cama," he whispers
I laugh and kiss his temple
"So Toni, Reggie haven't seen you two in the spotlight in a while,"
"We took a break for sure after Globals, had to get the kids settled down, and Topaz had some health problems so we all had stuff to deal with,"
"Health problems?"
"I lost the rest of my leg a few months ago and hit my head pretty hard- had a lot of mental setbacks, a lot of memory problems now,"
"Is that Why you have your son with you right now?"
"After I fell I was in a coma for a long time and with Tony being so young he wasn't allowed to see me so he has a little bit of separation anxiety when I leave,"
"He was born in hawaii last Nationals correct?"
"He was, he's almost 2 years old now,"
"There's a rumour that your kids are the same birth year,"
"Topaz, Morgan, and I have boys in the same birth year- so that draft is going to be insane," Reggie says
We laugh and talk about football for a while
"Well thank you both for being here, we'll be in touch throughout the tournament,"
"Thank you," I say
I turn TJ around and tell him to wave at the camera
"Say bye Tony,"
"Bye," he waves
I laugh and kiss his head
"You're funny baby,"
They take my mic and I go find Cher
"Was he good?"
"Very," I say handing him to her "we were on tv weren't we sweetheart,"
He nods and yawns
"Looks like you're tired baby," Cher laughs
He nods and cuddles into her
"Bye babe," I say kissing her cheek
She rolls her eyes and kisses me
"Stop being so cute and go do your job," she laughs
I nod and walk away, but not before turning around
And just like in high school
She's still staring
