Cheryl's POV
I hate Mitch
He's always flirting with Toni, asking her out, doing stuff that makes her uncomfortable- and me really angry.
"Baby come over here," I say as she finishes a game of pool against Will
She walks over and kisses me.
"What's wrong baby?"
"I missed you and wanted a hug,"
She hugs me and I giggle.
"Blossom you wanna play a game of Ping Pong?" Will asks
"Ya sure," I say
"Can I still hug you?" Toni pouts
I nod and she gives me a goofy smile.
"This is why the boys say you're whipped Topaz," I tease
"I beginning to think it's not a bad thing," she whispers kissing my ear "I'm totally in love with you,"
I smile and blush
"None of that while I'm playing Topaz," I laugh pecking her lips
"Blossom $50 on this game?" Will asks
"Oh ya," I say
"Babe, will you take me out for dinner with the money you win?" Toni asks
"I'll take you out for dinner no matter what," I flirt
"Mhm?"
"Ya, because I love you,"
"I love you too,"
"What about if you lose, you pay for me and Toni to go out drinking?" Mitch says
"Will give me one second," I say turning around "Back off Mitchell,"
"It's Mitch,"
"Mitchell, please, I don't like you constantly talking about my fiancé and it's frankly inappropriate, Okay?"
He flips me off
"Bro literally stop it, Cheryl's done nothing to you to be treated like this," Toni says "leave her alone,"
"Whatever you say babe," Mitch winks
I roll my eyes and go back to playing.
I end up winning and Toni kisses me
"Thanks for the dinner Will," She winks grabbing the money and giving it to me
"You're too good at this," he says
"I'm a Blossom, I'm good at everything,"
He laughs and T and I lay down on the new couches that they set up a few days ago.
"Have you thought more about our wedding?" Toni asks
"I've slowly started to plan it," I sigh "I'm excited,"
She kisses the top of my head and laughs
"So am I baby," she says
"So I like August 14th," I say "What do you think?"
"It's up to you babygirl,"
"I thought a wedding in the Country Club outside Riverdale, they can do the dinner, and ceremony,"
"I love it babygirl,"
"I love you,"
"I love you too Cheryl," She says kissing my head
"Topaz, come look at this film," RJ yells
"I'll be right back babe," she says sitting me up and sneaking out behind me
I play on my phone and chill until I see Toni walking back over.
"Babbbbbbeeeee," I say
"Yesssssss," She mocks
"Come cuddle with me,"
"Okay," She says smiling
I sit up and she lays behind me and i lay on top of her.

Toni's POV
Cheryl fell asleep an hour ago but it's time for me to got to the game.
"Babygirl," I whisper kissing her cheek "We gotta go,"
"Oh okay," she yawns
"C'mon cutie,"
She laughs and sits up with me. We walk to the game
"Have a good game Baby," I say kissing her cheek
"Thank you, wait for me after?"
"Of course TT,"
She smiles and I kiss her cheek and go up the stairs to sit down. I wait for Olivia who siad she would meet me here.
"Hey Cheryl sorry I'm late," she sighs "Rielly took too long in the shower,"
"Oh it's no problem, Tones had to come early anyways,"
"How's she doing?" she asks
"She's so excited to play," I say
"Did I hear there's drama between her and Mitch?"
"Don't get me started about Mitchell," I sigh "He's going to set Toni off and then I'm going to beat him up,"
"I heard he's very innapropriate with her, I'm sorry to hear. You two have been through enough,"
"She'll be okay, hopefully. He's just an asshole,"
"Ya I guess," She sighs
"I am worried though, he made her want to quit the team,"
"Really?"
"She's scared of him,"
"Well, if you need me to I'll get RJ to talk to her,"
"If she starts talking like that again I will,"
"Hey Cheryl,"
"OH Hey Elixabeth, this is Olivia- RJ's girlfriend," I say "Liv, this is Elizabeth- Reggie's girlfriend,"
"Nice to meet you," Olivia says
"You as well,"
We talk for a while before the two boys and Toni come over.
"Hey girls," RJ says
"Hey what's up?" Liv asks
"Well one, Coach wants Cheryl too look at Toni's hand because no one can tell if she's lying," Reggie says "and two, you three have to stay away from Mitch, he's being more of a dick than usual,"
We nod.
"Come over here babes, let me look at your arm," I say
She gives me her hand and I look it over.
"Does this hurt T?" I ask putting pressure on her hand
"Nope," she says
"Don't lie to me Topaz, I want you to heal,"
"I promise babe, it hasn't hurt in a while," She says "I'm okay, really,"
"Okay, good," I say dropping her hand "If I can see you're hurting I'm pulling you,"
"Fine, we gotta go,"
"So she's good?" RJ asks
"Ya she's fine," I say "Regge could have told you that, he can tell when she's lying too,"
"We know babe," Toni says "We wanted an excuse to come see you guys,"
I jokingly smack her.
"Run along Topaz,"
She pecks my lips and smiles
They leave and we all laugh.
"Toni's better though?" Liv asks
"She would be better if Mitch left her alone, but she's doing okay," I sigh
"I heard you stopped Reggie from punching him," Elizabeth says
"I stop Reggie and Toni from punching A LOT of people," I laugh "but yes, I made sure neither of them punched him,"
"Good, I tell him not to fight people,"
The announcer says the starting lineup
"And starting at Running Back, number 21- Reginald Mantle,"
We all cheer and Reggie walks out.
"And, in her first game back from injury- all-american quarterback #55 Toni Topaz,"
She comes out smiling and everyone cheers
They start the game after the national anthem and Toni takes the field.
She gets the ball, rolls and hits Reggie down field.
"Did she even look to see if he was there?" Elizabeth asks
"Probably not, she always knows where he is," I sigh "They're good,"
Toni runs the next play and gets a touchdown. Reggie hugs her and spins her around before the rest of the team goes to celebrate.
"Were reggie and toni ever a thing?" Elizabeth asks
"No, just really good friends," I say "they kisses once in a game of truth or dare,"
"Really? They told RJ they've never kissed when he was teasing them," Liv says
"Oh trust me, I have the pictures to prove it," I laugh "at least reggie had a few drinks though, Toni was just trying to make me angry,"
They laugh and we watch the rest of the game. Stanford wins their 3rd game of the season!
Toni's POV
"Topaz are you almost done in the shower?" Reggie asks
"Ya, Why?" I ask
"The girls are waiting for us," he says
"You can go out and see them, I still have to dry my hair,"
"Ok we'll see you out there,"
"Yep,"
I'm always last to shower, just how it is. I don't really care, it give me some time to myself.
I go to my stall to dry off. I put my sports bra and underwear on and reach for my shorts.
Shit I left them in Cheryl's bag.
I hear someone walk in to the changeroom and from my stall I Can't see the door, but I assume it's Reggie.
"Hey Reg I forgot my shorts in Cher's bag- can you grab them for me?"
No response.
"Reg?" I repeat
No answer
"Who's there? It's really not funny, I'm not in the mood," I say
I feel someone grab my ass and I gasp and jump forward.
"Who the hell- Mitch? You aren't allowed in here,"
"Ya I am Topaz, after all players leave,"
"I haven't left yet,"
"Doesn't matter,"
"I'm reporting you to manager Craig," I snap "you can't stalk me,"
"Sweetheart, what's manager Craig's last name,"
"Halton," I say
I realize
"That's how you got the job?" I ask "you're pathetic,"
He shoves me against the locker and pins me by the arms
"And if you want to keep your scholarship- you will do as I say,"
"Who says I even care?" I spit
"Your face after you got a touchdown today, how you've been upset for weeks since your arm was broken,"
He tries to kiss me and I move my face so he only gets my cheek
"I'm engaged you man-whore," I say trying to kick him off me
He weighs way to much to make him get off me
"Red never needs to know,"
He tries to kiss down my neck and I knee him in the balls. He crouched down for a second and I try to run but he grabs my shoulders and slams me so hard against the lockers that I get the wind knocked out of me
"That was a mistake slut," he spits at me "and you're going to pay for it,"
He moves his forearm to my throat and squeezes so I have little air left
"You're mine got it?"
"I'd rather kill myself," I choke out
"No you wouldn't, Red wouldn't like that,"
He kisses my neck again and I start crying trying to push him off.
He gives me a hickey and I finally slap him across the face.
"Get away from me, I don't like you and never will,"
"You will, If you like football,"
"I think you know me a lot less than you think," I say putting leggings on "because I'd rather still be who I am than sleep with people to gain. I didn't whore my way through the top and I don't intend to. And I'm with Cheryl,"
"Even after what happened on your neck?" He asks coming closer
I try and walk away but he grab my hair and throws me at the floor.
Fuck that hurt.
"You will Do What I say Topaz," he spits "you know how angry the boys would be if they heard you were sleeping with the SM?"
"I'm not sleeping with you," I spit
He grabs my jaw, kisses me hastily and then slaps me across the cheek and punches me in the face.
"This is how it's gunna go down Topaz, you were attacked on your way out the back by a random pedestrian- you fought him off," he says "got it?"
I punch him and get up.
"No I'm done being afraid of you. I don't want to play football if it means getting treated like this,"
"What are you going to do about it Topaz?" He smirks
I grab my Stanford football backpack and shove all my football stuff in there. Grab my jersey and look back at him.
"I'm getting the hell away from you," I spit "stay away from me, stay away from Cheryl,"
"My dad won't fire me, my mom would divorce him," he smirks
"Good, then I guess Stanford has to find a new qb,"
I walk out, but he goes to follow me so I run.
I'm still in a sports bra and leggings but I have no where to go.
Im bawling so I run up the stairs to manager Craig's office. He's the only one who could fire Mitch and coach is already gone by now.
"Toni That is not dress Code," Craig says
"Mitch or me?" I ask through my tears "you have to pick because I can't go through that again,"
"You can not make demands like that young lady," he sneers "you're a rookie,"
Craig is old school, he believes in rookie hazing and he also believes I shouldn't play football since I'm a girl.
"Your son pinned me by the shoulders against a locker and tries to make out with me. He threw me to the ground, gave me a black eye and was trying to convince me to have sex with him- in the changeroom," I cry "that cant happen and that can't be something that happens to me here,"
"Well darling, boys will be boys," he says "and Mitch is an attractive young man are you sure you didn't do something you regret,"
"I'm in a long term engagement- I would never do that to Cheryl,"
"Well missy, sometimes you have to make moral sacrifices to better your career," he says "I'll tell you what, NFL scouts are coming out soon, you stick with Mitch and you stuck to how you're playing and I'll give you a good recommendation,"
"I don't need a recommendation, I want to feel safe,"
"I'm not firing Mitch, there's rules,"
"Fuck the rules- he tried to rape me in a changeroom,"
"Now that disrespect will not be tolerated!" He snaps "one more and you're fine for next game,"
"You're going to sit me for refusing to be sexually assaulted?" I say "I quit,"
I throw my jersey at the chair and leave my backpack
"You walk out of here and you're never welcome back on this team,"
"You let me walk out of here and you can tell Coach why he no longer has a quarterback," I snap "I know how much I'm worth- and I have too much pride to be treated like this,"
"Cry me a River Topaz- thats all you ever do,"
I storm out.
"You'll never start for me again! I knew we should t have picked a girl! You're our entire team's problem!" He yells after me
What did I do?
I'm shirtless, scared, and alone.
I run down the stairs and outside and into the stadium- throwing up in a garbage can.
I sit there and cry my eyes out on the bleachers for like half an hour.
"Toni!" Olivia screams
I hear only one set of foot steps so she must be alone.
"We spread out to look for you, Cheryl's worried sick,"
"Cheryl's going to hate me," I mutter
She kneels infront on me and grabs my hands
"What happened Toni? You can tell me,"
"Well Mitch tried to rape me and I quit the team and now everyone in my life is going to hate me," I ramble "and I thought it was Reggie or I would've left right away, or RJ trying to scare me,"
She calls RJ
"Ry? Are you with Cheryl?" She asks
"Ya I found her come to the bleachers, something happened,"
She hangs up.
"They're on their way," I start bawling and Reg is the first one to make it back here
He hug me immediately and tries to calm me down
"T what happened?" He asks
I just start crying harder and I'm a mess by the time Cheryl gets here.
"Reggie I'm here it's okay," she says calmly
He lets me go and walks away.
"Baby, it's me okay? What happened,"
"I thought it was Reggie," I mumble
"Who?" She asks
"Mitch he came in and he- he tried to force me to sleep with him,"
My face is buried in my hands and I'm in Reggie's sweatshirt now so she can't see any of my face
She grabs my hands and slowly takes them off my face and I look at her
"Omg Tones, your eye," she says looking at it,
"B-babe y-you know h-how you said r-rape isn't c-cheating?" I stutter
"Never T, never," she says
I take off the sweater and she looks at the hickey
"I'm so sorry I didn't protect you baby," she says looking in my eyes "this one is my fault okay?"
"I quit the team," I say
"You what?"
"He's Manager Craig's som Cheryl," I cry "Craig said boys will be boys and I said I don't want to be treated like this and he didn't care so I quit. I k-know w-who I am C, and I won't lose myself f-for something as silly as football,"
"That's why I love you T," she says calmly "because you know you're worth more than to be pushed around and assaulted right?"
I nod and start crying again and she hugs me.
"You're okay T, you're safe now,"
"Toni, are you okay?" RJ asks
I shake my head and reggie and Elizabeth walk back over.
"You need to find a new Quarterback," I cry
All I ever wanted to do is play football.
My debut was ruined and I don't even play anymore
I just want to be normal
But I never will be
