Game 1

Cheryl's POV
The last few days have been amazing. No new drama, no new enemies and Tones seems happier.
"Baby," She yells
"Ya T?"
"Come here!"
I walk into our room. She looks fine
"What's up?"
"I wanna cuddle,"
"I have to clean,"
"You told me I have to rest and I wanna rest with you,"
She pulls me on to the bed and cuddles into me.
"Fine," I sigh putting my arm around her
She has her first game tonight so I want her to actually play good since she hasn't slept in days.
I hear her start snoring so I try and sneak away so I can finish cleaning.
"No," she mumbles grabbing my shirt
I roll my eyes and go on my phone.
I play on it for a few hours when I get a call from Sky.
"Hey Cheryl!"
"Hey Sky, hows it going?" I whisper, trying not to wake Toni up
"Pretty good, I just started school," she says "why are you whispering, where's Toni?"
"I'm ok," I half laugh "Toni's sleeping,"
"Did I hear you were arrested?"
"Where did you hear that?"
"On the television,"
"I was, but they had the wrong  person,"
"Who died?" She asks "they said you killed someone, or they thought you did,"
"Toni's ex boyfriend, was killed by someone and they didn't end on good terms,"
"Oh is Toni ok?"
"Toni will be just fine sweetie, but how's school?"
We talk for almost an hour while Toni sleeps before she finally wakes back up.
"Hey sleepy head," I laugh as she opens her eyes
"Who you talking to?" She asks
"Sky," I say putting it on speaker
"Hi Toni!"
"Hey kiddo, what's up?"
"We're talking about school," she says
"Ugh I hate school,"
"I like school," Sky laughs
"Of course you do, you share DNA with your sister," Toni groans
"Toni's not a fan of homework," I laugh
"Then what does she do for fun?" Sky asks
"Normal stuff," Toni replies
"She annoys me for fun," I tease
I hear her dad yell in the background
"I have to go for dinner, I'll call you guys soon,"
"Ok bye buddy," Toni says
"Bye Sky,"
She hangs up and I put my phone down
"Can I see your phone?" She asks
"Why?"
"I wanna change my contact name,"
"No you always change it to something dumb!" I laugh
"Please?"
I hand her my phone and she goes to our texts.

We take a few selfies and then it's time to get her to the fields.
"Are you nervous mi petit d'amour?"
"A little," she sighs "but you're staying, right?"
"Wouldn't miss this for the world TT," I say pecking her lips
She smiles and laughs.
We finally get inside the fields and I feel hands grab my hips and pick me up. I scream and Toni laughs
"Reilly, Stop," I laugh
He puts me back down and laughs.
"You ready for your debut Tiny?" He asks
"Ya I'm ready,"
We talk for a while.
"T I have to start a paper for my psych class, I'll see you after the game ok?"
"Ok, have fun, stay safe,"
"Always T,"
"I beg to differ but ok," she laughs kissing my cheek
I go start my paper and their warmups start.
"Hi I'm Olivia," a girl says sitting beside me "is your boyfriend in the team too?"
Wow the west coast really knew nothing about what happened.
"Actually my fiancé," I say "I'm Cheryl,"
"Who's your fiancé?"
"Toni Topaz,"
"You're Cheryl Blossom! my boyfriend is really good friends with Toni,"
"What's his name?" I ask
"Reilly," She says
"Oh I know Reilly,"
"He's that big of an asshole?" She laughs
"No we hangout sometimes at Tito, plus he's really been nice to Toni,"
"That's good to hear," she laughs
"Do you go to Stanford?"
"Ya I just flew in today though, 4th year, no need to be in early," she says "what class is that for?"
"Psychology," I sigh "almost done,"
"When's it due?"
"Next month,"
"RJ said you were the smart one,"
"It's not hard when I'm getting compared to Toni," I joke
I put my laptop away and we keep talking.
"How long have you been with toni?"
"Almost 3 years," I say "what about you and Reilly?"
"Same, in freshmen year of Stanford,"
"I met Tones in sophomore year," I say "in a bar of all places,"
RJ and Toni walk up the bleachers to us.
"Hey babe," they both say
We laugh.
"Everything ok T?" I ask
"Everything's fine, I came to make sure you aren't being a bitch," she says
"I'm not T, don't you worry," I say rolling my eyes
"Liv this is Tiny and I see you've already met Blossom,"
"Stop calling me Tiny,"
"I'm almost a full foot taller than you,"
"RJ, Stop it," Olivia says "Toni's height is adorable,"
"That's what I say!" I laugh
Toni rolls her eyes and kisses my cheek
"I'll see you after the game, no dark hallways, no being alone,"
"I know T, don't worry about me. Play your game,"
"Stay here,"
"I'm moving just so you don't know where I am,"
"No Cheryl actually don't do that," she says
"Toni, Stop it. Dougie's dead, Fred left the country. Stop worrying about me and go play football,"
"Fine, don't get hurt,"
"RJ, Take Toni away before I punch her,"
He nods and they leave
"If you don't mind me asking why is she so... afraid to leave you alone?"
"I was attacked last season, showing someone to a press room, I've been threatened by multiple people out east and she still hasn't healed fully from the attacks of last spring,"
"What are you talking about?"
"We were in Boston and some people broke into our hotel room, and tortured me infront of her, dislocated her shoulder, tasered me and then made me play Russian roulette,"
"Jheez, RJ told me you two have a rough past," she says "also tells me that Toni is worried you can't make friends,"
"Toni needs to stop worrying about me," I sigh "friends are the people you make a connection with, not that you go out and seek,"
"That's a good policy," she says "I have a rough past too, before I met RJ I was in an abusive relationship and tried to kill myself,"
She's very open, I like that. No secrets is my type of friendship.
"Before I met Toni I was with a psychopath," I sigh "she was such a bitch,"
"Really? Cheryl Blossom calling someone a bitch," she jokes
"Ya, that's how bad she is," I laugh "she said I wasn't a lesbian since I kissed guys, which I was forced to do,"
"Wow she really is a bitch,"
"You might know her name actually, Veronica Lodge,"
"I know Lodge," she laughs "we went to boarding school together. Now I know you don't mean bitch, you mean psychotic sociopath,"
"Ya I guess,"
"After boarding school I got involved with Eli and after a few months of being hit I tried to od," she sighs "sorry if I'm being too open, I don't like many girls,"
"It's fine, I don't like many people in general, but you seem cool," I say "I'm not a stranger to suicide either,"
"You too?"
"4 times," I sigh "after my brother died, after I was raped, after Toni was kidnapped and..."
I roll my sleeve up and show her my scar.
"After the attack in Boston,"
"Woah, I'm so sorry," she says
"No it's fine, I'm ok,"
The game starts and we cheer.
We win 52-28.
"That's the first time we've won a season openers since RJ started," she says
"Toni hates losing,"
"I could see that after the first,"
We laugh and I meet up with T and Olivia with RJ after they change.
"Hey baby," T says kissing my cheek "how's it going?"
"Pretty good, you played great babes,"
"Thank you," She smiles kissing me
I smile and someone hits me on the back of my head.
"Hey lovebirds, lets find Reggie a girlfriend," Reggie says "so he doesn't have to deal with the loneliness while you two makeout,"
We laugh and go to dinner.
"I love you babe," I laugh as she grabs my hips as I lean over the bar
"I love you too Cher, wanna grab me a coke?"
"Sure baby, go sit down," I laugh
"Thank you," she says kissing my cheek
"No problem baby," i laugh
I grab a cherry coke and a regular coke and go sit with everyone. Toni pulls me on her lap.
"Hey Blossom, why didn't I get a drink?" Reggie asks
"I'm not a waitress,"
"You got Toni a drink,"
"That's because she loves me," Toni says kissing my temple
"Blossom, I thought you loved me more?" Reggie pouts
"Sorry Reginald," I laugh "look how cute she is though,"
"I'm cuter," he banters
I giggle and Toni pulls me closer on her lap.
