" they're starting filming again" Jesse announced whilst we were driving to work
" what? really?"
" yep the cameras are going up today, the schools are broken up and yep, its gonna get busy babe" he said
" okie dokie then" I smiled as we pulled up. We walked down to the tower to be greeted by John the producer again
" hey guys!, how are you doing?" he asked giving me a hug and shaking Jesses hand. " congratulations on the 2 of you getting together" he smiled
" thank you, its good to see you again"
" this season is going to be amazing with a couple down here, last years show was the biggest ever with views, there was a big male audience as well with you here Jorja so its brilliant that your back... and oh my god what is that!" he exclaimed. I followed his gaze down to my hand and saw he was looking at my engagement ring.
" oh yeah Jesse proposed the other week" I said
" but I haven't seen anything online?"
" yeah we haven't announced it yet" Jesse said wrapping his arm protectively around my waist
" that's even better!, make it a bondi exclusive!" he gasped " oh this would be amazing for the views!, please don't announce it and we can release it on the first episode of the series, it would be viewer gold!"
I looked at Jesse then back to John " we need to make a decision over time John, can we get back to you on it?"
" ok, just let me know soon" he said before walking away. I turned to Jesse
" so the programme gets aired in February, so we'll have to keep it quiet for 4 months, we cant do that!" I sighed
" we might even be married by February!" he exclaimed looking away
" what?" I said slowly turning to face him " Jesse that gives us 4 months if you want to get married then!, I haven't even thought about the wedding yet!"
" oh ok, maybe 5 months then" he joked
"phew!, I don't want to have to keep it quiet until then, How about we tell him he can do a film on the ring and all that but we don't want to keep it quiet" I said
" sounds good to me" he mumbled, Jesse outstretched his arms and pulled me close to him, He rested his head on top of mine as I placed it on his chest. Reidy appeared from round the door breaking the peace
" oi lovebirds get in here!"
" could you tell John the plans please babe?" I asked
" sure thing"
I reluctantly let go of Jesse and gave him a quick kiss before walking into the tower. I checked the rota and saw I was patrolling with Azza. We got into the rhino with the cameras now attached to the frames, A camera man got in the back to follow us around. We drove up and down the beach, responding to orders from Reidy in the tower. It felt strange at first to have the cameras following us around but after a few rescues it felt like normal again.
At lunch me and Azza drove back up to the tower, we passed the tunnel to see Hoppo having a chat with the camera, I was very tempted to distract him and make him laugh like I did with harries last year, but I though against it
" he is the boss after all!" I joked to Azza as we made our way up the stairs. I sat down and watched the water with the boys. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining over the water. The day passed pretty quickly and not before long I was back in the tower waiting for Mr polock.
I heard raised voices coming from underneath the tower, the boys all went quiet as we heard the shouts. I saw John fly up the stairs and barge his way through the tower, pushing me out the way into reidy before slamming the door behind him.
" da fuq?!" I exclaimed as Reidy helped me upright. Jesse came into the tower. " What happened?" I asked
" he wasn't happy about not getting the engagement story" he sighed
" not happy, mate he came up here and stormed right out, pushing Jorja in the process!" Jake said
" he did what?" Jesse said, with anger rising in his voice
" babe its fine, I'm fine" I said as he pulled me close to him and wrapped his arms around me.
" He's probably just pissed as he missed out a load of views, but it wouldn't have changed the views actually, people either watch or they don't" I said
" true" Jake said. Me and Jesse went home after closing up.
" We'll announce it tonight, just to piss John off" Jesse said " nobody hurts my girl, I'll have words when I see him next"
" don't babe it will just stir things up" I begged
" if he does it again or says anything to you I'll have him, just because he's not getting the scoop doesn't mean he can push you around like that " Jesse's fingers tightened on the wheel.
" yes yes ok, just focus on the road babe" I joked trying to lighten the situation
We got back to the apartment and both collapsed on the sofa " time to tell the world?" Jesse asked
" yep" I said pulling out my phone " it feels like we're announcing our relationship all over again" I laughed. I leant in closer to Jesse and put my hand over my mouth as Jesse kissed the side of my head. I snapped the picture and posted it with the caption I'm a very lucky girl
I then turned my phone notifications off, I knew notifications would be pinging all night and I couldn't be arsed with that!
" right I'm going for a shower" I said kissing Jesse and walking out the living room into the bedroom. I threw my clothes off and bikini before stepping into the shower. I let the days events play over in my head as the warm water flowed over me. I then stepped out the shower and dried my self. I plaited my hair into a long side braid, now the cameras were back I needed to look decent in the mornings. I walked back into the lounge and sat in Jesse's lap
" I just realised something"
" what?" Jesse asked
" John said there was a big male audience last season because of me, what did he mean?"
" men thought you were fit" Jesse said abruptly
" oh, really?"
" they thought you were hot, so they probably watched the show and well.. you know... did what men do when they see someone fit, don't forget you did wear that red bikini when we needed to catch that pervert, and you did look smoking hot in that. Basically they wanted what they cant have"
" what cant they have?"
" you" Jesse said before pushing me off him and leaping over me, he lowered his face to mine and started kissing me slowly. " your all mine" he joked before kissing me again passionately.
I'm sorry this is so shit and has taken so long to upload, had a few problems over the past few weeks and not had the best few days so haven't been in the best state to update.
