You dress up in your favourite jeans and a pretty top. You couldn't decide if pumps or converse was the best option. You decided to wear pumps just because it was the first time you and Tyler were hanging out.
You were meeting him soon at your work so you grabbed all your things and walked down the stairs.
"Bye mom, see you later", you called from the door.
"Have fun!", she shouted from the lounge.
When you arrived at your work, you locked your car then walked in. Looking around you couldn't see Tyler so you decided to sit down on one of the booths by the window. You smiled at your co-worker, Tammy, before opening up a book that was on the table. You examined it wondering if it was something you would be interested in reading. You hadn't realised how long you were observing it until a clearing of the throat interrupted you.
You looked up and saw Tyler smirking down at you. Your cheeks flushed, "Hi", you greeted him.
"You look gorgeous", he tells you as he takes a seat opposite you.
"Thank you", you say shyly.
"Shall we get something to drink while we're here or do you wanna go straight to my plans?", he asks and you're quite shocked at the fact that he actually made plans. Most guys don't put a lot of effort into doing things.
"Oh, I don't mind whatever you want to do", you tell him and he smiles at you.
"Well I was going to take you bowling and then out for a bite to eat if you're cool with that?", he asks and you smile up at the wonderful idea.
"That sounds perfect", you tell him and his smile gets bigger.
"Great! So shall we be off?", he asks getting up and offering you his hand. You blush at the gesture and nod your head as you place your hand in his. He gives your hand a squeeze before you leave. Tammy gives you a big thumbs up as we walk out and you giggle at her. Tyler looks at you and smiles before we head off towards his car.
"I usually ride my motorcycle but I thought the first date I should make a good impression", he tells you and you shake your head.
"You don't need to impress me by having a car", you tell him and he gives you a soft smile.
"Besides, if we were on your bike I could have held onto you", you wink at him and he laughs.
"Dammit! Missed an opportunity", he shakes his head as he opens the door for you.
"Better luck next time", you smile as you get into the car.
"Oh so a next time already huh?", he winks and you blush again. He laughs before going around the car and driving off.
"At least this place isn't super busy", he says as we walk in.
"Yeah I don't like overcrowded places", you say to him and he nods his head.
As we walk over to our lane, he puts his hand on the small of your back, leading you through the small group of people around the bowling alley. His hands leave a burning sensation on your skin and you get tingles.
"Do you want anything to drink?", he offers. "Water please", you tell him before he goes off. You look for a bowling ball to use, one that's not too heavy otherwise you'll go flying with it. You then enter your names before Tyler gets back with two waters.
"Do you bowl often?", you ask him and he shakes his head.
"I haven't bowled since I was little, how about you?", he asks.
"I think probably last year. I went with some friends after college", you smile at him.
"What do you study?", he asks.
"Education. I want to be an English teacher", you say and he smiles at you.
"That's a wonderful career choice", he says.
"How about you?", you ask.
"I work with my dad. Producing films and plays", he tells me.
"That's so cool!", you beam and he returns it before we start playing. Once you both get the hang of it, you really start enjoying ourselves.
Tyler will give you a high 5 when you bowl well or even bring you in for a hug. You cheer him on and he smiles while he bowls because he feels really happy and wants to impress you. He gets a strike and you jump up and down before running into his open arms. He lifts you up and you both laugh before he sets you back on the ground. He wipes away the few strands of hair that's fallen onto your face and you smile up at him. He leans down and gives you a small kiss on your forehead. You brush and squeeze his hand before you go up to bowl. You try your hardest to get a strike but end up failing miserably when you only knock one pin down. You pout over-dramatically and face Tyler. He's laughing at how cute you look and gets up to walk towards you.
"Want me to show you my skills?", he teases and you nod, boosting his ego. He smiles widely as he places his hands on your hips and your breath hitches in your throat at the feeling. He turns you around and your grab the ball before walking with him to the line.
"Okay so focus on the pins and how you're going to demolish them", he grins and you laugh.
"Okay got it", you tell him.
He runs his hands up and down your hips, resting his chin on your shoulder.
"Now", he whispers in your ear, "Move your arm like this", he demonstrates as he guides your arm back, keeping your wrist facing the pins, "And let go", he says as he pushes your arm forward and you release the ball.
It goes flying down the lane and knocks down the remaining 9 pins. You smile widely and jump while Tyler giggles in your ear. You turn around in his arms and wrap your arms around his neck.
"Thank you!", you beam and he kisses your hair before you continue bowling.
After another round you two decide to go eat. You've worked up quite an appetite and so when you arrive at the small café, you order drinks and food at the same time. You both order burgers and you get a milkshake while he orders a Coke.
"This has been so much fun", you tell him. Honestly it's been one of the best nights of your life. Tyler is so easy to talk to and you felt so comfortable with him.
"One of the best nights", he says looking into your eyes and you smile.
The rest of the night you speak about anything that comes to mind. You ask the normal questions like what he likes to do and where he has travelled to and even some random ones like if he's ever broken a bone. The night was filled with laughs and small innocent gestures. Like him holding your hand across the table or you brushing your legs against his. You two would smile at each other and it was amazing how you two just clicked.
