Chapter one hundred and four
"It's been a crazy year."
Then soon October was gone and November had come and Caroline couldn't find it in her schedule to head down to Ohio for thanksgiving, having been in the booth non stop meet her album due date, where sour was then dropped right at the end of November, which the first track was brutal which was a song she created when she thought everything she planned was over, followed by the second track traitor which was about Jesse and how he cheated on her with Rachel and betrayed her, then the third was was drivers license which was the song she wrote about Jesse, then the fourth track was one step forwards three steps back which was about Sam.
Then there the fifth track called deja vu which was about was Jesse, then there was the sixth good 4 u which wasn't really about anyone maybe Sam after she cheated on him and moved onto Britney and did nothing when she spread rumors about her but it also could've been about Jesse after he broke her, the seventh track enough for you was about both of them, the eighth track happier was about Jesse and how she realized after everything he'd done to her he seemed to be dating his teammate.
Then the ninth track was of course jealousy, jealousy which she had wrote about all the girls from not just her school but her own glee club who she always felt less next to even though they all seemed to think she was getting everything she wanted, then tenth track was favorite crime which was written about Jesse and how even though over and over their relationship was messy they were each other's favorites in the end, then the last track was hope ur ok which she had written about so many people who were struggling and she wanted to share the same words with the rest of the world to let people know that even though they were hurting and maybe alone someone cared.
And right away it was sold out, where thankfully her friends and loved one's were able to buy one themselves seeing as she had none available to send, where she had even signed a surprise few of them, and as she was then doing magazines, photoshoots and interviews about it promoting it, before she knew it was December and her record company was breathing down her neck for her to drop a Christmas song that would be in the top one hundred along with a music video to match.
Which was why right now, there was a house in view as the sound of sleigh bells could be heard, as her background singers voices came through, singing.
"Oh, Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas."
Then Caroline's voice came in as backup vocals, as Santa Clause could be soon going into the house.
"Santa's gon' come and make you mine, mine (oh, Santa)Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas (oh, Santa)
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, mine."
Then it went to Caroline in a Mrs Clause outfit as she was laying on the floor, kicking her feet behind her as she was writing a letter as she sang.
"Santa
If you get this letter
Won't you help me out?
I know you're kinda busy with your elves right now
And I don't know how
You do the things you do while I sleep on Christmas EveBut it's amazing
And I bet that you could bring me back my baby
Because every time I see Christmas lights
I feel this burn inside
And I just can't take it."
Then it changed to her, shopping in the mall with her friends as she walked past a jewelry store she stopped seeing a familiar sight.
"I saw them shopping last week
And his new girl was so bleak
And then I swore to myself
Santa's gonna come and make you mine this Christmas night."
Then her friends shook their heads and dragged her off, and then it turned to her and her friends meeting Santa, as they took pictures with him.
"Ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas night."
Then Caroline made it back to her house, as she was then back at the table writing another letter.
"Oh, SantaI heard that it's really gonna snow this year
So I hope Rudolph and them other eight reindeer
Get you safely here
So you can scoop him up
And scoop him right down my chimney
I've been really, really, really good this year
So put on that red suit and make him appear
Make this Christmas cheer
Just ain't the same without my baby
Come on, oh, Kris Kringle send me-"
Then she went out and put the letters in her mailbox, and then it turned to her, kneeling by her bed and praying.
"They say it's unrealistic
But I believe in you, Saint Nick
So grant this wish for me right quick
Santa won't you come and make him mine this Christmas night?"
Then she heard her doorbell ring, as she furrowed her brows, she stood up and walked down the stairs.
"Ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas night
Oh Santa, oh Santa, oh Santa (come on, Santa)Santa gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa gon' come and make you mine, mine
Santa gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa gon' come and make you mine, mine."
Then she answered the door and as she did, it was just the pizza she ordered, as she grabbed it and paid the guy then shut the door, as she then turned around walking back inside.
"Oh, Santa Claus
If you get this letter
Please don't make me wait
'Cause all December I'll be counting down the days
So hop on your sleigh
I promise that I won't forget the milk and cookiesThe trees all sparkly and gold
But inside I feel so cold
So soon as you leave the North Pole
Santa won't you come and make him mine this Christmas?"
Then the doorbell rang again, as Caroline stood up from the couch and walked to the door and as she did, the boy from the mall was then standing there, and as he smiled at her, Caroline smiled back at him and as she did, mistletoe magically appeared above them, as the two looked up.
"Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, mineSanta's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, mine
(Santa's gonna come and make you mine this Christmas)."
Then the two looked back down at each other and when they did, the boy stepped forward, putting his hands on the side of her face and kissing her and Caroline kissed him back.
"Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, ho-ho-ho
Santa's gon' come and make you mine, mine
Santa's gon' come and make you mine this Christmas."
Then the camera began to zoom out and as it did a snow globe appeared as the end appeared on it as the music video ended, and as it did, the camera then moved from a screen to a women standing with a microphone in her hand "happy New Years LA! And if you haven't been able to tell yet from the video that we just showed you are next guest tonight, is the ever growing pop sensation, Caroline Hudson!" she voiced, as the crowd cheered, the camera then panned over, showing Caroline standing in a cheerleading uniform as she then slapped a boy across the face who was in a letterman jacket as she then walked across the stage and as she did, she went up to the mic and started singing as the band played behind her.
"Well, good for you, I guess you moved on really easily
You found a new girl, and it only took a couple weeks
Remember when you said that you wanted to give me the world? (World?)
And good for you, I guess that you've been working on yourself
I guess that therapist I found for you, she really helped
Now you can be a better man for your brand-new girl (girl)."
She then took the mic off the stand as she stepped away from it and started walking across the stage looking at everyone who came out.
"Well, good for you, you look happy and healthy
Not me, if you ever cared to ask
Good for you, you're doing great out there without me, baby
God, I wish that I could do that
I've lost my mind, I've spent the night crying on the floor of my bathroom
But you're so unaffected, I really don't get it
But I guess good for you."
She said right into the camera as she smirked moving away from it, she then walked back over to the mic stand kicking it out and then back toward's her as she put the mic back on it.
"Well, good for you, I guess you're getting everything you want (ah)
You bought a new car and your career's really taking off (ah)
It's like we never even happened
Baby, what the fuck is up with that? (Ha)
And good for you, it's like you never even met me
Remember when you swore to God I was the only person who ever got you?
Well, screw that and screw you
You will never have to hurt the way you know that I do."
She then pulled the microphone out again, as she turned around walking to the other side of the stage this time.
She then began dancing around.
"Ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah."
She then went down on her knees and looked right into the camera.
"Maybe I'm too emotional
But your apathy is like a wound in salt
Maybe I'm too emotional
Or maybe you never cared at all
Maybe I'm too emotional
Your apathy is like a wound in salt
Maybe I'm too emotional
Or maybe you never cared at all."
She then moved away from the camera, getting up and turning away from them as she walked up to her guitarist.
"Well, good for you, you look happy and healthy
Not me, if you ever cared to ask
Good for you, you're doing great out there without me, baby
Like a damn sociopath!"
She then flipped her hair, as she then turned around, walking to the front of the stage and grabbing the mic stand.
"I've lost my mind, I've spent the night crying on the floor of my bathroom
But you're so unaffected, I really don't get it
But I guess good for you
Well, good for you, I guess you moved on really easily."
Then the lights went out and as they did, Caroline moved back and sat on the stool as she was handed her guitar, she then began to play it, as she started singing as a spotlight came on her.
"I wore makeup when we dated
'Cause I thought you'd like me more
If I looked like the other prom queens
I know that you loved before
Tried so hard to be everything that you likedJust for you to say you're not the compliment type
And I knew how you took your coffee
And your favorite songs by heart
I read all of your self-help books
So you'd think that I was smart
Stupid, emotional, obsessive little me
I knew from the start this is exactly how you'd leave
You found someone more exciting
The next second, you were gone
And you left me there cryin', wonderin' what I did wrong
And you always say I'm never satisfied
But I don't think that's true
'Cause all I ever wanted was to be enough for you
And all I ever wanted was to be enough for you."
She then continued to play the guitar as the crowd cheered, she chuckled as she then started to sing again.
"And maybe I'm just not as interesting
As the girls you had before
But God, you couldn't have cared less
About someone who loved you more
I'd say you broke my heart
But you broke much more than that
Now I don't want your sympathy
I just want myself back
Before you found someone more exciting
The next second, you were gone
And you left me there cryin', wonderin' what I did wrong
And you always say I'm never satisfied
But I don't think that's true
'Cause all I ever wanted was to be enough
Don't you think I loved you too much to be used and discarded?
Don't you think I loved you too much to think I deserve nothing?
But don't tell me you're sorry, boy
Feel sorry for yourself
'Cause someday I'll be everything to somebody else."
She then stopped playing and singing, as she then looked out into the crowd and as she did, they all cheered "your everything to us!" somebody yelled, as she shook her head and stated playing again as she sang.
"And they'll think that I am so exciting
And you'll be the one who's crying
Yeah, you always say I'm never satisfied
But I don't think that's true
You say I'm never satisfied
But that's not me, it's you
'Cause all I ever wanted was to be enough
But I don't think anything could ever be enough
For you,
enough for you, oh-oh
No, nothing's enough for you."
She finished and when she did, she stood up "happy new year! I love you all and to my family and friends back home, I miss you all!" she voiced, blowing a kiss as she then turned walking off the stage.
