Chapter fifty three
"Loves in the air, for some."
Being back in school it seems Caroline had missed a Spanish fiasco seeing as when she came back, Mr Schuester was no longer the Spanish teacher but now the history teacher, and to add to her problems valentines day was coming up, in which her and Kurt seemed to be the only one's down in the dumps as they sat at the piano together sulking as Finn was letting Rachel play the drums and Tina and Mike were taking cute couple photos together as Santana and Britney were being all lovey to their right,
Mr Schuester who was now engaged and fully in love walked in "okay everybody, let's hear it for love." he told them all as everyone sitting down clapped as he wrote on the board "your assignment for valentines day is to find and perform the world's greatest love songs. Now, regionals is next week and we still need to raise two hundred and fifty dollars for costumes and hair spray." he shared "oh god, not another bake sale." Kurt said "agreed." Caroline told him, putting her elbow down on the piano causing it to bang.
"If any student gives ten dollars we will sing these worlds greatest love songs to their valentine. We will serenade each classroom." Mr Schuester was telling them as everyone quickly protested "yes!" Rachel voiced "two years ago, we went room to room Christmas caroling. They threw food." Tina reminded them "and shoes." Mike added on, as Sugar was raising her hand "yes, Sugar?" Mr Schuester asked her as she took off her heart sunglasses "here's a spoon full of sugar for you all. Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff when you're rich." she told them, standing up "so here you go." she said, walking up to Mr Schuester and holding out a wad of cash.
"Uh, Sugar, I can take that." Mr Schuester tried to tell her "take it!" Kurt voiced "okay." Mr Schuester told them as he took it from her "everyone, give it up for Sugar for paying for our final net and cummerbunds." he shared as everyone clapped "I love the sound of applause, even if I have to buy it." Sugar said to Mr Schuester as she then looked to them all "okay, everyone, look under your chairs. Except you Artie, you're chair kept moving so I hid your surprise in the waste basket." she shared, in which Caroline's eyes went wide, Kurt handed her a box of chocolate while holding another one in his hand.
"V day is my fav day ever. And to help me celebrate my daddy's throwing me a huge, ridic party at breadstix and I'm naming it the sugar shack. And..drumroll, Rachel." Sugar said as Rachel gave a really bad drumroll "you're all invited!" Sugar voiced, as many people cheered "but you have to bring a date." Sugar told them, and when she did, Caroline went to slam her elbow on the piano again but instead she caught the air and fell off of the piano bench "no single people allowed. They're sad and boring and they don't exist in my world." Sugar shared, putting her sunglasses back on.
"Says the most single person in here." Caroline mumbled as she got up off the floor, but Sugar heard her as she looked to her "not for long." she told her, as she giggled, all Caroline wanted to do was barf, as she slammed her hand on the piano, making it ding as Mr Schuester winced.
And as valentines began going by, they all were sitting in the choir room as Mr Schuester walked in "Artie, four wheels on the floor, please. Rachel you had an announcement." he said "yeah, actually. Finn and I have an announcement we'd like to make." Rachel shared, as her and Finn got up and walked to the front of the room, Caroline furrowed her brows, Mr Schuester walked over and found seat.
"Finn and I proud to announce.." Rachel shared, as she lifted her hand up and showed a ring "that were finally getting married.' she told them all as Caroline's eyes went wide "what the actually, fuck!" she voiced while everyone else's voices got drowned out "yeah, I'm with Caroline. When's the babies due date?" Puck asked "wait, guys, have you carefully thought this through?" Mr Schuester asked "yes and are parents are totally behind us. And your plan to stop us by telling them totally backfired, Mr Schue." Rachel told him.
Causing Mr Schuester to furrow his brows "wait, I still don't get what the hell is going on here? Finn are you having a crisis because first you basically attacked me in the hallway when you didn't get talked to by the football coach then you decided to join the army and now since none of those things worked out, you've decided to marry a nut job and become a trophy husband? What the hell is actually wrong with you? Because I'd really like to know?" Caroline asked, throwing her arms out.
"Look, Caroline it's really none of your business what I choose to do with my life." Finn told her, as Kurt raised his hand "and actually, I'm the one who told them. Because like Caroline I think you guys are making a mistake. A huge mistake." he shared "when's the wedding?" Quinn asked "the date is TBD, but I can assure all of you that we're gonna have a very simple and elegant ceremony at the justice of the peace which all of you are invited to. And we're registered at Samuel French." Rachel shared.
"You guys aren't mature enough or old enough to properly face this type of commitment." Quinn shared "if you don't support us, then I feel sorry for you, and you're not invited to the wedding." Rachel shared, making Caroline chuckle "then I guess I'm not invited!" she voiced, standing up and grabbing her bag "Caroline.." Mr Schuester told her "no, no. Don't tell me to come down, Mr Schue. Because this?" she questioned, motioning around her "is a crock of shit!" she voiced, turning and walking down the steps and heading out of the choir room.
The next day, Caroline was sitting in Miss Pillsbury's office during glee club as the bell rang, Miss Pillsbury took a deep breath "so, I see valentines day is going just as well as it went last year." she shared, as Caroline shook her head "I am doing what you said, I took some time to myself, I'm staying away from boy's. Yet because I don't have one, I'm literally excluded from Sugar's valentines day party which everyone in glee club was invited to. And then everyone in glee club is singing all these love songs and making out and being lovey dovey in front of me and it's making me sick!" she voiced, as Miss Pillsbury nodded "yeah, Mr Schuester told me about your outburst yesterday." she shared.
"But that wasn't about valentines day, that was about Rachel and Finn wanting to get married while their still in high school and everyone just sat there being okay with it except for Quinn and Kurt and that's messed up!" Caroline shared as Miss Pillsbury nodded "well, maybe overtime you'll learn to see it from their side and change your mind." she told her, as Caroline huffed, putting her head in her hands, she didn't notice as Sam walked back outside, stopping when he saw Caroline sitting inside Miss Pillsbury's office.
And that's why that night while everyone else was out at Sugar's party at breadstix, Caroline was in her bedroom doing her homework at her desk, but as she was, she heard something hit her balcony, which made her stop as she turned, looking to her balcony but didn't see or hear anything as she turned back around, she heard another rock hit her balcony which made her stop as she stood up, walking to the balcony she opened the door and when she stepped out, she saw Sam standing down there.
"Sam, what are you doing?" she asked him "well, I was planning on going to Sugar's party at breadstix but then I realized I wouldn't want to be sitting there by myself. And I also realized that if I was gonna be singing a love song to anyone, it was gonna be you, so.." Sam told her, trailing off as he brought his guitar out from around his back, as Caroline stood there watching him, as he started playing, he soon started singing.

He then looked up from his guitar and looked at her as he continued to play.

He then stopped playing and threw the guitar back over his back and then climbed up the tree by the side of her balcony, in which Caroline stepped back as he jumped onto her balcony, he then moved his guitar back around as he continued playing as he then sang.

He finished the song and when he did, he looked at her "look, no matter if there were fifty guys before me or potential jerks in the middle, it never changed thing's for me because you're my home, Caroline. Literally and figuratively." he told her, making Caroline chuckle "and I know the last time I sang you Justin Bieber it was a way to get back with Quinn but this time it's for you because I do, love you. And no matter how confused you are or worried, the one thing that's not gonna change is how I love you cause I will continue loving you for the rest of my life even if I have to do it from.." Sam was sharing.
As Caroline stood on her tippy toes and brought her hands up, pulling him down to her as she kissed him on the lips, she then pulled away "I love you too, Sam. And I'm sorry that I was scared to feel that way again, because maybe..maybe I was scared of losing you as well, and I just didn't want to admit it because every other relationship I've been in ended in flames and I just didn't want that for us. But I just needed to learn to let it go and leave all that in the past, because it's me and you, always." she told him, and when she did, Sam took the guitar off of him and leaned forward, kissing her again.
