I sat in some party, not knowing anyone there. I sipped on a whiskey and coke and tapped my foot to the music. I scanned the room hoping to find someone I knew but had no luck. That is until four guys walked in. Alex, Michael, David and my least favorite Eddie.
Eddie and Alex walked off to some other place, Michael headed straight for the bar and David walked towards me. He sat in the stool next to me.
"Hey y/n what's up." He smiles
"Not much, you?"
"Not much, I'm gonna go talk to that chick." He says pointing to a blonde girl.
I nod, taking another sip of my drink. I notice Eddie walking towards me. I roll my eyes.
"I know we don't get along but you could at least be more subtle about it." He says
"God you're so irritating." I reply
I walk off, looking for Alex or Michael. I finally find Alex, he's got a ukulele in his hands and he's aggressively strumming it.
"Hey Alex." I say, falling into the seat next to him
"Hey y/n how are you?"
"I'm fine, your brother is irritating though."
"Y/n you don't hate him. The only reason you and Ed "hate" each other is because you love each other." Alex explains
I raise my eyebrow, rolling my eyes.
"That's ridiculous." I say
I walk away, trying to find Michael. I find him by the bar, asking if he could get a discount on the jack daniels.
"Hey Michael."
"Hey. What's going on?"
"Not much, Eddie and Alex are kinda annoying."
"You don't hate Eddie y/n, the only reason you two "hate" each other is because you're actually in love." He says
"That's exactly what Alex told me."
I walk for the door, stopping by David.
"How's Eddie?" He asks
I roll my eyes once again and head for the back door, heading out and into a playground, sitting on a swing.
I hear the door open and someone starts to walk towards me. I see it's Eddie and I sigh.
He walks up to me.
"Y/n I'm in love with you."
"You what?!"
He leans in, gently kissing me. His lips were soft and supple and his hands were gentle. He pulls apart.
"Eddie I- I love you too."
"Really?" He asks
I nod.
"Wow I was not expecting that...didn't we hate each other like an hour ago?" He laughs
"Yea....you know Alex and Michael both told me that we didn't hate each other and that we were actually in love."
"They said that?"
I nod
"Well I guess they were right...that's weird."
We both laugh
