Chapter 21: Mysteries

We arrived at the police station and Cameron dropped us off in the front. Grayson already jumped out of the moving car and was running for the door. "I'll be in the parking lot. Call me if you need us to come in." Cameron said smiling and Ethan rubbing my arm. "Thank you for everything." I said hugging both of them and with that, I sprinted to the door.

I walked down the hall to find Grayson already talking to officer Kelly , showing her the DNA results. " I'm going to call for backup and go over to his house. Hopefully he is there so we can arrest him. I'll call you as soon as I get out." Officer Kelly said. "NO! I want to come I want go punch this asshole so hard and-" Grayson screamed. "You cannot come with us it's a police policy." Officer Kelly explained. "That's a load of bulls-" Grayson started again. "Grayson stop! We did our job now let the police do theirs." I said tugging on his arm. "Fine." He mumbled with an attitude. We sat down in her office while she was gone. "Why do you do that?" I asked Grayson while is fists were still tight. "Do what?" He asked. "You're getting so crazed over this whole thing." I said opening his fists. "Brianna I love you so much. I've never had feelings like this for anyone before. When we stopped being friends it was the hardest thing for me to ever do. I just hate to see you hurt and now that we are together, I'm never going to let anyone hurt you." He said staring into my eyes. I grabbed his face and kissed him passionately. "I love you so much Grayson ." I whispered. "I love you too." Grayson and I fell asleep in officer Kelly's office. They have been gone for a while. Then the door slammed open. "He's not at his house we checked his house, his step mothers home, his best friends house and all his local hangouts. We are going to launch an investigation. You can go home for now and we will call you two right when we get new leads." She said considerably. "Thank you for everything." I said standing up. I grabbed Grayson's arm and we got up an left. I got a text from my mother;

Mom👭:
Hey bri baby I heard about everything. I'm so sorry I would do anything to be with you but work is tight right now and I'm on a business trip. Your father is at his new apartment setting up. You can run home to get more clothes if you want and I have some old maternity clothes upstairs in my room. Love you! I also left the door unlocked I didn't think you had a key.

Me💁:
Thank you mom I'll swing by there now love you and miss you.

"Hey can we stop at my house, my mom said my dad is out of town and she's at work so I want to avoid seeing my dad." I Asked Cameron. "Of course!" She replied.

Wee pulled up into my driveway. Wow my driveway. It didn't seem like that. I haven't been here in forever. I sighed and opened the car door. "I'll come with" Grayson started. "No no babe stay here I'll only be 2 minutes my mom layed all my clothes out so I'll be really fast." I said kissing him on the cheek. "Okaaaay" he said smirking. I walked up the the front door and remembered my mom left it unlocked. I walked into the quiet house.

I ran up the stairs and walked to my moms room first to get the maternity clothes, when I heard a strange noise in my bedroom. I jumped hp but just ignored it. I heard it again. "Hello?" I called out. "Probably the heater acting up again." All of a sudden I felt a warm breath breathing down my neck giving me chills. "Or it's probably just me." I heard someone say.
