Chapter:49

As soon as she heard James's advise, Kate ran with every strength she had. Emy too, ran behind her but never caught up with her. She couldn't catch her breath. So she plopped herself onto a bench at the side of the road.

"It's been so long since our last encounter." A voice came from behind her.

Before she turned, she saw him sitting next to her.

"Jacob, I am not in a mood to listen to your bullshit. Get lost." She replied annoyed.

"Rude! The Emerald I knew was a person who talked with kindness. How did she ever turn this way?"Jacob asked sarcastically.

Emy's eyes welled up with tears which streamed down her cheeks.

"Jacob,please leave me alone. I am in a worst situation. I am not able to handle anything on my own. Everything is a big mess." She yelled at him.

To her surprise, Jacob wiped away her tears and pulled her towards him.

"It's okay. Don't cry. They don't understand what you are going through. But I do." Jacob whispered.

Emy was so comforted by his voice. His cool body really calmed down her worries. But suddenly she remembered that she was in the hands of an enemy.

She pulled away from his hug and stared at him amazed.

"Emy, those dogs and that bitch don't know how a human like you feel inside. But trust me I do know." Jacob muttered.

"And.... Emy, if you ever find any difficulty to live with them,come to me. I promise you that I will take good care of you. I will never hurt you. I will always be by your side no matter whatever happens. Because.... I LOVE YOU." Jacob confessed emphasizing on the last three words.

Emy noticed the relieved look and the wide smile that flashed across his face.

"Are you kidding me?" She questioned,puzzled.

"Nope. I wanted you to know this at least once. I might have played with so many girls. But this ain't fake. I said this from here." Jacob said pointing his thump towards his chest.

" Seriously??? Are you really insane to think that I  believe all this nonsense uttered from your damn mouth?" Emy demanded.

"Never mind, that bitch has really made you hate me so much that,no power in this universe can ever make you change your mind." He said rolling his eyes.

"Forget everything I said and that you met me here." He stared into her eyes and compelled.

Emy nodded her head in agreement. Jacob whooshed into the air ,with his vampiric ability, after saying that.

"Not so fast, devil." Emy smirked,taking out her vervain pendant.

Jacob's POV

I know it's weird. But I do feel something different when I am around her. I haven't felt the same with Margaret or Katherine or with any other girl I had in my life.

Emerald is different. It started since the first time I met her. The first time when I went to her school, as Harry Walters, in search of Katherine. I really planned to kill her so that I could break Katherine's heart. But everything changed since my eyes met hers. Her eyes shone with the brightness that blinded my eyes. She was so beautiful.

I felt a pull towards her. I was really guilty for compelling her to fetch the information I need. But I didn't have a choice.

I am jealous of James. That dog is really lucky to have someone like her in his life. And all he does is make her cry and break her heart. If it was me I swear, I will treat her like my queen. I will make her happy in every way I can.

And I know she hates me for what I had done to Katherine and Margaret. So, even if I confess my true feelings to her, she would never believe me.

I know I don't deserve her. But I needed her to know at least once that I love her with all my heart, and that I don't see her the way I saw Katherine or Margaret. She is really different. I would give up anything for her. But it's too late for anything.

Now I have only one way to make her mine. Katherine and James should be dead. And that would be simple if I just report about Katherine's relationship with Seth.

Kate's emotions were frozen. Tears were unwilling to escape her eyes until then. Her heart ached. She clutched her chest as a result of her pain. She rewinded the incident in her head, over and over again.

Suddenly she broke into tears. She sobbed loud. She was so scared. She never thought she would be invited to be torn into pieces.

"I must not be involved in this. This isn't safe for me." She murmured to herself.

At the Stevenson residence.

"Dad, what have you done?" Seth questioned his father.

"How dare you question me? And how dare you have the audacity to bring a vampire into my home?" Albert demanded.

"Dad, listen to us first." James interrupted.

Shut your mouth,you idiot." Albert shouted at James.

"I wont allow you to have a life with that vampire. Those creatures cant be trusted at all. " Albert said to Seth.

"Dad, I am not a kid anymore. I can make my own decision. And I know that she is not like Neorah. I trust her. And I will leave your side if you won't agree to this." Seth responded staring into his father's eyes.

Albert understood that his son was serious and he meant every sentence he blurted out just then.

"You.... My son never disobeyed me. But now,he did. You are the reason for all these. You turned him against me. You are starting to show your true colours,you blood-sucking monster!" Albert roared at James.

"Dad, I never made him turn against you." James said back.

"You never stood by my side. And now you are taking my Seth away from me. You are no different from your mother." Albert yelled.

"Dad,don't compare me to her. I am nothing like her." James said.

"You are exactly like that bitch of your mother. That's why you keep supporting his vampire girlfriend. You wanna ruin my son's life like how your mother ruined mine?"He questioned

James growled in frustration. His eyes turned into golden colour.

"Stop it,Albert." James roared.
