Chapter:24

After talking with him, she went back to her room. As soon as Kate saw Emy, she glared at her and demanded,

"Where were you last night?"

"I was with James," she replied.

Kate stared at her in surprise.

"With him? Is there something I don't know?" questioned Kate.

"It's a long story," said Emy and explained to her everything that happened the previous day.

Kate was speechless for some time.

"Wow. Interesting."Kate stated and burst into laughter.

"Why are you laughing?" asked Emy.

"Nothing much," she answered, wiping her fake tears.

That was a holiday for Emy's sake. She took a long sleep to break away from her hangover.

When it almost 9 pm she woke up. She took her phone and saw that there was a message from James. She opened it.

"How is your hangover? Got rid of  it?"

"Yeah, I am good," she replied.

"OK then sweetheart, see you tomorrow. Sleep well."

"See you tomorrow. Love you."

"Love you too"

Emy locked her phone. She saw Kate playing with her phone.

"Hey," said Emy.

"You woke up?" asked Kate.

"Yeah" grimaced Emy.

Suddenly some horrible sounds came from her stomach which indicated that she was hungry. Kate noticed that and grinned.

"Are you hungry?" asked Kate.

"Well...Yeah"Emy muttered.

"Come, let's get you some food," said Kate standing up from her bed.

Next day.

Emy was so happy to see James. As soon as he saw her, he took her in his arms and twirled her in the air making her shriek in awe. They went to their classes as their bell rang for the first class of the day. After the class Emy accompanied Seth.

"So you both got together?" asked Seth.

Emy blushed and said,

"Yeah."

"How is it going?" he inquired.

"It's good. What about you and Kate? Did you tell her?" she asked back

"No. I didn't," he answered.

"Why?" she questioned.

"I didn't have the guts to tell her, Emy," he replied.

"Just say it, man. Be bold," stated Emy.

Seth nodded his head in agreement and the two of them walked to their next class. During the lunchtime he saw Kate searching for some book in the library.

"Hey" he greeted.

"Hi," she said back.

"Which book are you searching for?" he asked

"Vampire Academy." she replied.

"You like to read vampire stories?" he asked.

"Yes, I do" she grimaced.

Seth flinched. He walked towards the cupboard to help her. After a long time searching, Seth found it and handed it over to Kate.

"Thanks," she said.

"No problem," he replied.

While she was walking out, Seth called her and said,

"I need to tell you something. Can you wait?"

"Sure. What's it?" she asked back.

"I have been thinking of saying this for some days but I never had the guts." he began.

Kate stared at him.

"I like you, Kate," he said.
