Lucette slowly opened her eyes. For some odd reason, there were a lot of gaps in her memory. In truth, she couldn't remember going to bed. Did she somehow manage to accidentally drink her father's whiskey? She was most definitely in her bed, the sheets were the same and so was her ceiling. However, something was very off. She looked to her right and found nothing, just her usual bedside table, but when she looked to her left, she was immediately surprised. Lucette jumped slightly as she came face to face with a dozing Ichthys. He was so close, that the smell of vanilla went straight up her nose again.

"Whu...?"

Is all she could manage as she hoisted herself up a bit more. She couldn't help but laugh a little, as she took in the rest of him. He was more or less hanging off the bed, at a very odd angle. In truth, she was very surprised that he even found that position comfortable to sleep in. She moved her hand to try and shake him awake, when a voice from behind her spoke up.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you..."

"Huh?" She retracted her hand, and turned around. Casually staring at her, from the bedside table, was a small black bird.

"Oh... I am so confused right now..."

"Ah... That would be understandable..."

"Why?"

"How much do you remember?"

Lucette stopped and thought for a minute. What did she remember? Wait... The last thing she remembered was human Corvus interrupting both her and Ichthys after they finished a game of..... Twister.... Looking back at the bird, it was best to tell him the truth.

"Last thing I remember was you saying something after we finished a game..."

"Oh.. I see..."

She watched as she saw his face make an odd expression, like he was remembering something he didn't want to.

"Did I drink too much or something? I mean, I don't actually drink.....So, I might've accidentally drank dad's stuff. I mean.... Did I?"

Bird Corvus looked at her again. He was silent for a moment, before he spoke up again.

"Something like that, yes..."

"Oh..... Well, I suppose I learnt my lesson..." She leaned over to get her phone, which was still on her bedside table, and checked the time... Wait, was that the correct time and date?! "Erm.... Why does this say six fifty am.. Monday morning?!" She showed the lit up home page of her phone to the bird.

"Must've been some strong alcohol, you slept through an entire day..."

"You're kidding me..?"

"Light weight." He said, as he hopped off her bedside table and casually strolled over to where Ichthys was still asleep. He used one of his bird feet to poke him in the face. In response, Ichthys moved his arm that was lying straight down his body. "Wait... No... Oomph!"

Lucette couldn't help but laugh, as bird Corvus' tiny head was poking out of Ichthys' arm, because he had moved it to cuddle him.

"Don't laugh woman! Help me!"

She laughed a little more as he tried to squirm a little more, but it only tightened Ichthys grip.

"Care for me to wake him up now?"

Corvus continued to struggle, but considering that it was making it worse, he then stopped and stared, with tiny dagger-like eyes, at Lucette.

"No... This would only make it worse.... There's only one thing to do..."
