18TH ROSES: THE LAST ROSE

I can't wait to my Debut! I am turning 18 and that is today.

Everything is set, the venue, the people who are invited, my gown— everything is settled.

I looked at myself on the mirror.

"Anak, you are so beautiful." I gazed at my mommy.

"Thank you so much 'mmy, it's all because of you." She softly touched my cheeks.

"Aww, my baby is now a lady."

"Mommy naman." I pouted myself.

"Tara na? Maraming guest na ang nasa baba, saka mag-uumpisa na yung celebration mo." I smiled.

Pagkalabas pa lang namin ni 'mmy sa rest house namin ay napapikit ako sa napakasariwang hangin na siyang sumalubong sa akin.

My 18th birthday will be celebrate here in an open area.

When I walked, everyone was looking at me with admiration in their eyes.

They clapped their hands with smile plaster on their faces, but still my heart pound so fast.

I bit my lower lip and smiled back to them.

I roamed my eyes, tagumpay lahat ng gusto kong mangyari sa birthday ko.

The combination of white and gold is the theme of my celebration. It's like a wedding reception.

Nagsimula na ang celebration and all I could do is to smile and laugh. They are all making me happy today.

May mga pa-games at natatawa na lang ko sa mga nakakasali.

Until my 18th roses came. Yung mga naunang sinayaw ako which are my boy bestfriends and cousins... natatawa na lang ako sa mga kalokohan nila sa tuwing nagsasayaw kami at sa mga mensahe nila para sa akin.

And then before my 18th rose came, I heard my favorite song, beautiful in white by westlife.

Not sure if you know this
But when we first met
I got so nervous~

Nag unahan na agad yung luha ko ng makita ko Daddy ko sa wheelchair na nakangiti sa akin.

Mostly sa mga nag de-debut, their last dance is their crush or boyfriend... but for me, my last dance is my father.

In that very moment
I found the one and
My life had found its
Missing piece~

Tumayo agad ako sa pagkakaupo sa magandang upuan kung saan kita ko ng lahat.

Pero nakita ko ang pag angat ng kamay ni Daddy na pinapahinto ako na lumapit sa kanya.

Siya ang lumapit sa akin.

Naglalakad pa lang siya ay umiiyak na ako.

Nang tuluyan siyang nakalapit sa akin ay humagulgol na ako.

"Surprise 'ddy..." He gave me the last rose.

"Mga pakulo mo anak. At aba parang ikakasal na ang anak ko ah."

This is the reason why I wore white dress like a wedding dress with headress on my hair.

We walked slowly to the center kung saan kami sasayaw ng Daddy ko.

What we have is timeless
My love is endless
And with this ring, I
Say to the world~

At habang naglalakad kami ay tinatakip ko sa mukha yung bulaklak na hawak ko, nahihiya ako sa pag-iyak ko... dapat masaya ako.
