HE ONLY LOVES ME WHEN HE NEEDS ME

I felt the hug behind my back, so I look who was it.

"Hon," he said smiling. That smile that I always fell for.

"What?"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"What is it?" I widely smiled at him.

"Ahm, can you help me with my thesis? I know my hon is really smart. Bukas na kasi namin ipapasa but sadly we have basketball game." He pouted his lips and that is the most cutest thing I've ever see.

"Ofcourse! Pwede ba pag tapos ko sa thesis mo, pwede ba pumunta sa game?" I did my puppy eyes, but he just messed my hair.

"Hon naman, alam kong mapapagod ka sa thesis ko, mag pahinga ka na lang pag tapos. I want you to rest."

"Okay." I sadly uttered.

Walang nakakapagod sa taong nagmamahal. Kaya nga kahit anong favor niya, gagawin ko dahil mahal ko siya.

But I have a great plan and I am sure that he will love it!

Like what my lola said, 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.'

"Bye hon..." And he kissed my forehead.

"Do your best in the game hon, I love you."

"I will."

I've done doing his thesis and I smiled brightly. It's time to cook his favorite foods!

I already buy what I need, and then I started to cook his food with love.

Arjane didn't know that I am going to their game, to support him and to give this little effort and to surprise him.

Pumunta ako sa court kung saan sila naglaro. Nakangiti ako kanina pa ngunit unti-unting nawala iyon ng may mapansin ako.

"Sana namamalik mata lang ako..." I almost whispered.

Nang makalapit na ako ay narinig ko ang pinag-uusapan nila. Break time siguro nang basketball game nila.

"Bye babe, I need to go." I heard what the girl just said to my boyfriend and she kissed him to his lips.

I saw them kissing each other.

"Bye, I love you babe," my boyfriend uttered sweetly at her.

Almost of Arjane's friends shouted at glee.

Umalis na ang babae at hindi pa rin niya ako napapansin.

"Gago tol! Ang ganda ng Girlfriend mo. Pero diba Girlfriend mo rin si Alia?" tanong nang isa niyang tropa.

"Gago ka pre, si Isha yung maganda yung tunay kong Girlfriend. Kailangan ko lang yung uto-utong Alia na 'yon."

"Swerte mo nga kay Alia, lahat ba naman ginagawa ang gusto mo, hindi mo ba 'yon minahal?"

"Nagbibiro ka ba tol? Ang pangit no'n!"

Then they all laughed.

Nangilid ang luha ko sa narinig at nasaksihan.

Hindi ko napansin na bumagsak na pala yung mga pagkaing nasa tupperware na dala ko na hindi lang para sa boyfriend ko, kundi para rin sa mga kaibigan niya.

Then they noticed that I am here. Lahat sila ay nanlaki ang mga mata, lalo na ang boyfriend ko.

Paalis na sana ako... "H-Hon, let me explain."

Pinalis ko ang luha ko.

"S-Sobra kayo... sobra ka na." May kung anong nag bara sa lalamunan ko kaya pumiyok pa ako.

"It's just a joke."

Sa sinabi niya ay sunod-sunod na tumulo ang mga luha ko na kanina ko pa pinipigilan.

"Then your joke hurt me! That joke betrayed me. Thank you to that joke because you made me realized how ugly I am."

Wala siyang nasabi kaya't nagpatuloy ako. "You know what, hindi lang ako ang sinaktan mo rito, pati na rin yung isa mong Girlfriend. You love her because she's beautiful, and you're with me because you need me. What kind of man are you? Paano mo nakaya 'yon? Paano mo nagagawa 'yon na alam mong may masasaktan. You're a cheater before I met you, and I thought you've changed. But I think they are right, once a cheater is always a cheater."

Hawak ko na rin pala yung printed niyang thesis, kasi isa ito sa suprise ko sa kanya kasama ng mga pagkain.

"S-Surprised. Thank you for hurting me." And I gave his papers na agad niyang tinanggap. Iyon lang naman talaga kailangan niya sa akin.

I just walked away after that. Wala ng ibang naganap na iskandalo katulad sa iba. I don't have that courage to hurt him because I really love him...

That's how stupid I am.

Una pa lang ay alam ko na. I knew he only love me because he needs me.

But what is more painful and stupid?

He's really not inlove with me at all because I'm ugly, he just need me and nothing more.
