Since the repeal of Rappaport's Law in 1965, students have had the option of purchasing a wand from various wand stores across North America. However, many students still follow the tradition of letting a wand choose them in the grand hall designated for wand placement. The morning after the Sorting Ceremony, the Welcoming Feast, and the Bonfire, the first-year students are gathered in the Great Hall. Once everyone is present, the Headmaster invites them into the Wand Hall, also known as Warlock's Hall. Some claim that Warlock's Hall is the biggest wand shop not just in North America, but in the whole world.

As you enter the captivating room, you'll notice a simple black-and-white glass-stained door featuring a crow, paying homage to Isolt's father, William Sayre. Once inside, you'll be greeted by History Of Magic Professor Berit Aphra, Wandkeeper Holly Pickok, Professor Emaline Goode, and a team of seventh-year students who have been carefully selected to aid first-years in finding their ideal wand. The tall glass windows let in rectangular beams of sunlight, illuminating the pristine white marble floors. You'll notice images of tiny crows flying across the tiles, and sometimes, a real raven exploring the endless rows of unique stands filled with a vast selection of over 3000 wands from all over the continent and the world. In short, Warlock's Hall is the most extensive wand shop in North America. To maintain order, students are instructed to remain within the main corridor and avoid running around the stands and cases.

Naturally, as there is an average of 140 new first years each year and very few already have a wand, this process takes a long time. The process goes like this:

At the back of the room, there are five crystal orbs. The first years are required to place both hands on the surface of the orb. The feeling of its material differs from student to student. Some say it felt cool and smooth while some said it was prickly and sent surges of electricity through their fingertips. The orb scans the entire inventory of Warlock's Hall, trying to find the best match between wand and student.

Once the mist inside the orb is cleared, a code will appear. This code will appear and will lead the seventh-year student toward the right wand case. Although the system is very efficient and rarely fails, it's required for every student to perform the first flick of their wand within Warlock's Hall. It has only happened a handful of times that the system was wrong and another needs to be appointed to the student. The inventory is created by wands coming from all across North America. Different wand makers are suppliers to the school, which is why the school has such a large variety of wands to offer the best wand to each personality.

If something is wrong with the wand, the student can always return to Warlock's Hall to fix the broken wand or replace it with a new one. Each student is given a special holster for their wand.
